Sells petrol, as expected, not much else to say really.

Extortionate petrol prices. I don't mind paying a little extra for petrol in a village petrol station but your prices are daylight robbery. The only time I've seen petrol more expensive is on the M25 services. My car runs on super unleaded so I use the Esso in Witham and have done for years now even though this shell is at the end of my road.

SCAMMERS!
Tried to scare money out of pensioners saying they haven?t paid for fuel when evidence clearly shows they have. Disgraceful
Avoid at all costs!

Worst experience. Very unhelpful unfriendly staff who just don?t care and make more problems than solutions

I?ve been to the Shell garage in Tiptree a few times, and I can honestly say it?s the worst service I?ve ever had. The place smells awful, like a mixture of old food and something I can?t even describe. It?s always a struggle to communicate with the staff, who don?t seem to speak much English at all. I tried to speak to the manager, Iftikhar, about being double charged, but he just looked at me blankly and turned away without a word. Didn?t even try to help.
The real shocker, though, was when Jeffery, one of the staff (DOES NOT SPEAK ENGLISH) Decided to close up early. The shop was meant to be open for another 15 minutes (10:45pm), but he locked the doors and told me to go away, even swearing at me when I asked why. This isn?t the first time either. It?s becoming a regular occurrence that the staff just don?t seem to care about anyone. I wouldn?t trust them with anything?I don?t know how they expect to keep customers when they can?t even speak the language or offer any kind of service.
Not to mention the place is dirty, air machine is ALWAYS broken and always out of stock on the essentials. Not going back, and I suggest you don?t either unless you want to deal with these people who clearly have no idea how to run a proper business.

It's a fuel station ? you put fuel in your car and go & pay. Think it's open 24hrs so very handy as we needed fuel early morning

Great for a snack and coffee on way to work

It's OK, most expensive fuel in the area. Staff could be less rude and not talk over you to other colleagues while serving. The smell of greasy pastries is overwhelming and lingers to your clothing for a long while. Not necessarily a clever selling point. On the whole a good clean looking shop. Will go there if absolutely necessary

Unfortunately this village station has only gone downhill over the past year. Once great with fantastic staff, it changed hands to Indian owners who don?t speak English and seem not to care. The new staff, all Indian, constantly speak in their language, are inattentive, and spend too much time on the phone. It feels like they?re discriminating against hiring locals. Only a couple of long-serving employees still provide good service. More local workers could improve the shop. While the facilities are clean, most staff don?t meet expectations. Fuel and food remain acceptable. - Tom, Tiptree

Looking around at petrol prices since I had to pull into this shell garage to pump up tyres. This station is one of the most expensive for fuel in the Colchester area,

A traditional petrol station in a small village in the English countryside.
Small shop but with a reasonable selection.
Toilets.

18p a litre More expensive for diesel than other fuel stations in local towns and villages.

It is unfortunate that the quality of service at this village shop has declined over the past year. The shop used to be excellent, with outstanding staff. However, following a change in ownership, the new Indian owners seem to lack care and attention. The new staff, who often converse in their Indian language, are more preoccupied with phone calls and personal conversations than with assisting customers. It's worth noting that a few long-term employees continue to provide exceptional customer service. It would be beneficial to see more local residents employed here to restore the shop to its former glory. Despite the issues with staff, the facilities are consistently clean, and the fuel and food remain of good quality.
