After a bank holiday walk we popped in for some lunch. The staff were friendly and the burger was one of the best I?ve had.
If I?m out walking this way again I will definitely make it my lunchtime stop.

I won a meal voucher in a raffle. We had a delicious lunch, and the young man who served us was very attentive and helpful. We would definitely return for another meal and be pleased to pay for it.

Was visiting from Australia. We drove by and thought we?d stop for lunch. The staff were very friendly and the food was really really yummy! Would recommend. ???

Decent pub, reasonable food choice plus cask ales. Ideally situated two thirds of the way around the 6.5 mile circular walk from the chapel. Allow 2 hours to get there via the coast path from the chapel car park and then 30 minutes straight back from the village.

Nice clean old school pub with good service and selection of beers. Food dissapointing, had pie special of the day, big lumps of not particularly tender meat and soggy pastry.

First time eating here and I'm impressed.
The service, food and attention to detail was perfect.
Ok, I'd prefer home cooked chips but that's being fussy.
Overall, the best food we've found in the 2 years of living in the area (Tillingham)

What an excellent pub with great food and a lovely friendly atmosphere.
We had the burger and the special which was a shish kebab. All freshly made. We also had a side of chicken wings. The burger comes with a frickle (a fried pickle!)- this is rare and I?ll be returning even just for a plate of these haha. Very talented chef!
Pay them a visit - you won?t be disappointed.

We popped in after a local walk at about 3pm hoping to grab a hot meal on a cold day. Never been before so always a bit of a gamble but we had a very warm reception and the service was as good as the food. We had the gammon, egg and triple cooked chips (these were insanely good) and my other half had the burger and fries with a brilliant deep fried pickle which in his words was 'better than Byron'. We'll be back when next in that neck of the words. Thank you Kings Head staff!

Very nice place to finish a walk, we had the buffalo chicken wings and honestly they were the best! So much chicken on there and amazing sauce that had the right spice. Very warm cosy atmosphere and family friendly
