An early morning visit here is as British as a red phonebox or a black cab. It's always a pleasure too. Full English breakfast (go large, it's almost double for a couple of £ extra) arrived super quick and was well, well above average. It sets you up for a full day travelling.
Amazing staff, kind and check on you half way through. Was ticking over, but not rammed on our recent visit (August time)
Always recommend here.

Might say opens at 4am but it actually opens closer to 3, straight through security straight here and a pint by 3:20 come on spoons

This small breakfast was only £9.60, can't believe it! Amazing value. Honestly don't know how they stay in business. Was stuffed afterwards, didn't need to eat for another half an hour.

Why 4, not 5*?
FOOD ? The bacon looked on the weird side, the butter was melted. However, the traditional breakfast was overall delicious.
SERVICE ? Very rapid service. Took only 5-10M for our food to come which was extremely surprising due to how busy it was.
ATMOSPHERE ? Busy. Very busy.

The pub was constantly busy yet the staff were always pleasant and courteous.
Prices a bit above your usual high street prices but what would you expect at an airport.
Food was top notch.
Plenty of tea bags too!!!

Stanstead airport.....
Food is good enough.
Service is excellent.
A little steep for what it is. But I guess once you here they have got you. Had the southern fried chicken. And chicken basket. Position in the airport is good. And if it looks full walk up stairs and keep walking. It's rather large.

We have been to this spoons every time we have flown out of Stansted - so once a year on average for many years. The latest visit was really disappointing. I don?t think you can consider this place as a weatherspoons anymore. They have now only got half of the menu and everything is double the price (check on the app you can see for yourself) they also don?t include a drink with your meal either and drinks here are expensive. There?s also the usual problems with this location - never any seats and tables are rarely clean. Honestly - it?s probably one of the better places to eat in the airport but that?s not saying much. We won?t be going here again.

I usually love JD Wetherspoon because it's reliable, and the food is still consistent, but the fact that the prices are almost 3x the price compared to any other outside the airport is atrocious.

Brilliant option to have food and pint at Stansted just before takeoff.
They also have a runway view balcony (closes at 7pm)

More expensive for drinks here compared to non airport spoons ,which is to be expected ?
Gets mentally busy
Easier to get a seat upstairs
Easier to get a drink from upstairs bar too
