Cosy little English village pub in Stansted Mountfitchet. We had the Sunday roast and it did not disappoint. Large portions reasonably priced. Staff were very attentive and we felt welcomed.

Cracking pub! Stopped there for food and a couple of pints. Excellent value and fresh, very good service. Oh, and Shadow the pub dog is a legend.

Nice food, a large portion of fish and chips, however one star less because batter on fish was not crispy and taste bit bland ,not like anywhere in chip shop.
Otherwise, it's all perfect.

Me and two friends had a wonderful meal here after visiting Mountfitchet castle ,the fod was lovely and locally sourced, the staff were friendly and great to talk to ,i highly recommend this pub if your ever in Stansted Mountfitchet.

Great English pub experience close to where we were staying at Stansted airport for an early exit flight. Good pub food, helpful staff and warm atmospherewith local pump beer. Better option than in-house hotel food.

A really nice place to eat and drink. Meals were generously sized and decently priced. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Beef pie was delicious!

Came in for lunch and was warmly welcomed. Food was fantastic (hot and fresh)! The fish and chips was a huge portion. The weather was lovely so we took advantage of the nice rear garden. 10/10 would recommend

What a lovely old English pub . My friends and I had a brilliant evening. Good food good beer , wonderful service and great entertainment with Tony Skeggs ( and friends)
