Pub was empty on arrival! Lovely sunny day. Drinks were quite expensive in relation to other local establishments.

Been going here for a couple of years and heard it was under new management. Ordered a drink and glass was dirty, so took back to bar and it was replaced but second glass was also dirty, staff offered another but I refused. Glass had mouth dirt all around rim. Wanted to order food but it?s completely put me off going back. Very disappointed.

What a fantastic night at a truly great pub.On arrival the place was empty but the landlord made us very welcome and recommended us a place to eat as his kitchen was closed.We ordered a pint and engaged in conversation with the landlord.Before very long the place started filling up with what seemed to be locals.Each and everyone spoke to us and included us in their conversations and jokes.We left went to the recommended restaurant then returned to the pub to finish the night. This is a brilliant place ,great beers , very friendly manager and fantastic customers.Thanks everyone for a truly memorable night Gary & Keith.

Not a bad pub, decent range and OK staff.

Low ceilings and beams. Not the most ebullient of welcomes and lots of mumbling.
The menu is impressive, lots of choice. I ordered the Chicken, Ham and Leek pie and the wife ordered the Steak and Ale pie. The shortcrust pastry on both pies was dry. There was something odd tasting about the mash. Couldn't put my finger on it.
It was lunch, it was ok for a pit stop but I wouldn't rush back.

Nice friendly pub with an average sized beer garden. I have not tried the food but they have a full menu available.
