“This little shop, to my surprise, has alot crammed in. Having said that, it's never a mess. Well organised and kept tidy. People there serving, are always pleasant and polite. Well done and keep up the good work.”

“Good shop, organised by product types and offers at 'Middle of Lidl'. Could do with better positioning of baskets, as they've recently been moved to the counters, not very helpful for shoppers entering. Queues at checkouts can get long, but the staff usually address the issue quickly by opening another one up. Car park is available, but it can become filled on popular days.”

“Good lidi when I have been it's not really really busy which is nice however they do need more people on the tills it's ridiculous to have more than 5 people queueing with a tolley full of food and only checkout open and a long queue for self checkout. You need more staff serving.”

“From a personal viewpoint, I tend to find Waitrose on the more expensive side, however, the staff are friendly and the store is well laid out, maybe it's just me, but I am of the opinion that the majority of the customers in there don't have a sense of humour.

Personal opinion may vary though”

“I had the most wonderful experience at Aldi, thanks to the exceptional service provided by their staff member, Paul. My son, who has Down syndrome, was having a challenging moment and was crying. Paul’s kindness and compassion were truly remarkable. He approached us, cracked some jokes, and even gave my son high fives, which turned his tears into laughter. Paul’s genuine care and understanding made our shopping trip so much more enjoyable. Aldi, you have a gem of an employee in Paul, and I can’t thank him enough for his exceptional service and for brightening our day!”

“Used to be my favourite Lidl in Southend on sea , for all your fresh vegetables and affordable priced groceries. But many times I see the rack empty, maybe it's was the the times of my visit. But the other stores in Southend are doing better in customer visit experience. Good car parking and many other chain stores next to the Greyhound retail park Lidl”

“Tesco Extra Southend-on-Sea: A Shopper's Review
Tesco Extra in Southend-on-Sea is a large supermarket offering a wide range of products and services. Here's a review bas
I would recommend Tesco Extra Southend-on-Sea for a one-stop shop for groceries and other household needs. But be prepared for potential crowds and stock availability issues during weekend ends and peak hours .

* Extensive Selection: The store boasts a vast selection of groceries, including fresh produce, meat, dairy, and pantry staples. A decent selection of household goods, electronics, clothing, and even some furniture, but recently got rid of the fresh fish counter and and reduced the size of their bakery.
* Competitive Prices: Tesco's prices are generally competitive, special offers and discounts.Their Clubcard program provides additional savings for loyal customers.
* Convenient Location: The store is conveniently located before entering the Southend city centre with ample parking, making it easily accessible for shoppers.
* Additional Services: Tesco Extra offers various services beyond grocery shopping, such as a pharmacy, photo printing, and a clothing department, cafe a sushi bar, cas machine, a Timpsons store, fuel garage and a click to collect at the entrance of the store
* Friendly Staff: The staff members I encountered were generally friendly and helpful.
Cons:
* Store Size: The sheer size of the store and the crowd during peak hours can be overwhelming for some shoppers, it maybe difficult to find specific items.
* Checkout Queues: checkout queues can be long during peak hours, can be a little frustrating but have many self-service check counters
* Stock Availability: As you see in every supermarket some items can be out of stock, which is understandable.
Overall, Tesco Extra Southend-on-Sea is a good supermarket with a wide range of products and services. the competitive prices and convenient location make it a popular choice for shoppers in the area.”

“I had a Amazon parcel to return but the barcode would not scan. The shop assistants were very helpful and suggested screen shotting the barcode so it could be enlarged. This worked and I was able to send the parcel.”

“Really friendly staff welcome you when you come in and leave the store, staff have face shields for everyone's protection. This is a slightly larger Sainsbury's local. There is a good range of produce and general groceries. With my favourite bakery area at the back of the store.”
