I visited the store, which is not local, because I discovered that they took in for recycling, used tablet blister packs.
I phoned & first spoke to Peter who was very helpful and after mentioning that I would have to leave my dog in the car whilst I shot in he advised me that dogs were welcome, what refreshing words to hear.
So I made the 25min drive to Southend, parked outside in the disabled bay (I have a blue badge) and walked in with my dog and handed over 2 smallish bags of said blister packs at the chemist counter
Both Peter & the chemist, Yordanka showed genuine interest in Shadow, a lockdown rescue who is gradually getting more used to people and visiting new places, and it was great that Peter & Yordanka helped with Shadows confidence.
All in all, my out of the way excursion to Southend Superdrug was doubly worth it because I could save some potentially landfill bound items and socialise my dog as well, so it was a very pleasant experience for me and shadow.
If only more chemists were as helpful, certainly vis a vis recycling of blister packs.
The allowance of dogs too, but that?s a different national shop access problem for dog owners!

Very nice store layout with a pharmacy. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. They all looked happy. Pricing is good for members. Best to become a member to benefit from lower prices!

Hi Everyone. I hope head office is reading this. I am a single vulnerable mother with a toddler. My former partner threw me out of the house. I came in with a sick child. I spoke to someone called Amy. Short stocky chubby build with blondish hair. Very very rude. She was so dismissive and I asked her for help. Instead I heard her slag me off to another member of staff. And worse of all she tried to recommend nurofen for my child who is asthmatic. She should not be working in a place like this. Please can someone do something about her. As she is putting on an act of smiles but is so rude to customers. I left never wanting to come back there.

Again another good shop in the high street. The oYoung girl who is always down the beauty isle is so sweet, helpful and willing to explain anything. It?s nice to see Superdrug employing people from all walks of life!
