A good, efficient store and team. However, I think I was sold reading glasses, that I didn't really need. During the eye test, I was shown how I could read if I had reading glasses. There was a definite improvement. I don't normally use them. When I tried reading with them, the difference was minimal, if anything. I then realised the lenses I tried at the store during the test were on a screen across the room. Not at the distance I usually read!

Specsavers is a friendly place to have an eye test, all my questions were answered and everything was explained.

Very bad staff attitudes.

Excellent Example of caring staff, I was welcomed and seated straight away as i have mobility issues. I didn't feel rushed and was given water upon request. All the staff took time to explain everything to me and the sales person got different frames for me to try as I couldn't stand. I'm looking forward to collecting my new glasses tomorrow. Would highly recommend this store. 10/10.

Service is good but is always crowd.
Last time they forgot to order one side of my lenses, everything was fixed quite fast and the outcome was positive.

My nan is 83 years old and the day before her appointment with Specsavers she was called by her doctors to tell her she needed to go into hospital for blood tests (for her ongoing cancer treatment). My nan called the Southend branch to tell them she might be a few minutes late as she has difficulty walking and can?t move as fast as she used to.
On the day of her appointment she was 10 minutes late.
She apologised for being late for her appointment. A young woman came to help but because my nan was late she had to call another woman to help her.
The lady who dealt with my nan then was aggressive and rude. My nan was so tired and frail.
As a professional I just wanted to say that there are ways to deal with a situation. Yes, my nan was late for her appointment due to her hospital appointment. It is so hard for older people with serious health conditions to move around? she was late due to her poor mobility.
The branch could have taken a quick look at my nan and realise she is frail and elderly, and she could have been treated with a bit more kindness and calm.
She left feeling deflated and absolutely exhausted.
Yes, she was late. The staff could have been kinder to her though.
Please?
