Went to lunch eat with my husband in Southend.we ordered peppermint tea and english breakfast tea and the server gave us 2 coffee which we said we did not order coffee and then made the drinks we ordered.When she served our foods she asked if we want sauces and I said tomato catsup and mayonnaise please.And she never went back to give the sauces!! What a poor service it was!!! Not even once to come back and ask if we are ok or if we need anything.She never came back and even when we asked for our bill it was another lady who attended to us.She was on her phone and talking to the guy(barista) most of the time.

A perfect afternoon tea. I especially loved the hot scones with Rodda's cream, butter and Bonne Maman conserve. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly. The restaurant clean and well decorated. A great experience, I'll definitely be back ?

good food but poor service. slow and too focused on standing around talking to eachother by the coffee machine, rather than serving customers. sat at our table for 25 mins waiting to pay in addition to 20 min wait for food. servers are polite but poorly organised.

Fresh light cake slice enjoyed with tea pot. High end tea place, loved the table service but I wish we could sit upstairs by the windows to look outside. Definitely recommended!
Parking: You can park in Royal?s shopping centre or council car park opposite almost and plenty of street parking till 6pm paid.

Cheese cake was way too sweet but the service was good. Recommend to order something else that might be less sweet.

Popped in PV in Southend twice this weekend. Great pastries and cakes and a decent coffee. Also experienced fantastic customer service and a nice chat with Anna Marie who is fantastic!

My first time in Patisserie Valerie, and unfortunately didn?t have a good experience at all. First, the staff member at the till this afternoon didn?t say hello and just told us to wait (she was doing something at the till) we waited, and she was quite rushing serving us, not responding properly and put our cakes into the take away box and into carrier bag. I found a bit strange but thought maybe that?s how they operate; she never asked if it was eat in or out; then as soon as me and my partner headed to the table, she came and said that is a private seating and that we did not say it was seat in. I believe this should be asked by the cashier not the customer needs to say it? the rude way she approached the situation made me feel really uncomfortable to be there and finally eat our cakes. I hope this can be looked at to improve the service!

The millie feuille was so dry I was struggling to cut it with knife. Latte was bitter and the waitress kept coming to our table to check in. I don?t usually come by but I treat myself. It won?t happen anymore.

Took my mum here today for the first time she usually goes M&S but there service and food are terrible she absolutely loved it here our waitress Ana Maria is fantastic so friendly polite and really was so lovely to my mumMum had toast with jam and a hot chocolateI had poached eggs on toast and earl grey everything was perfect the staff cannot do enough for not only us but everyone who walked in its my mum new favourite place ?We even brought 2 cakes to go as they looked fresh and invitingA true gem Thankyou so much for making my mum's little trip out so greatDenise ????

Sad little place with a tired vibe and worn flooring. The manager was very apologetic, but did have to come to us several times to check things and swap out stale cake. Apparently the cakes are defrosted here. £8.95 for a single slice of toast with half an avocado and 1.5 cherry tomatoes was a bit steep.One of the waitresses didn't listen when we ordered and we ended up with skimmed milk in spite of spelling it out that wanted full fat.
