The place itself looks really nice, and the bartenders were friendly and welcoming. However, the booking system felt unnecessarily complicated. I arrived at 7:10 pm and was told to come back in 10 minutes. When I returned, the lady in charge of seating was extremely rude and dismissive, informing me?without any courtesy?that they were no longer accepting bookings.
I was alone, and there were several empty tables available. It was only 7:20 pm, and the venue was far from full. Still, the message was delivered in a very unfriendly and unprofessional manner.
It?s a shame, because the atmosphere seemed promising, but the lack of basic politeness really spoiled the experience.

Fabulous tapas and excellent service. Went on my own and felt very welcome and safe.
Lovely view and shaded from the sun.
Some chilled out 'ibiza' music playing in the background made it feel like i was on holiday rather than a work trip.

Amazing cafe that we ate in for breakfast. Staff were incredibly attentive and the food was amazing. Highly recommended for a visit. We also had a beautiful view of the sea as we ate.

Nice seaside restaurant/cafe overlooking the beach. Food selection very good although a bit pricey for what you get. Basic Fish and chips £23 which is close to the Roslin Hotel pricing. Quite noisy on the veranda with young kids running around and music playing out so difficult to talk without shouting. Nice experience but better alternatives around.

Over priced and distinctly average food. I had the seafood linguine which was utterly tasteless. Also, if Im paying £23 for a pasta dish I would expect a cloth napkin and not my cutlery given to me pre wrapped in a paper napkin like a cheap canteen.
Had the mussels to start, and again if paying these prices I would expect a lemon water finger bowl and not a wet wipe sachet like you get in KFC.
I would refuse to eat indoors as its giving cheap cafe vibes and wait for a table in the conservatory area. Once there, location obviously nice but not nice enough to warrant the prices.
Staff lovely and friendly but not as attentive as you would expect for drinks orders, we ordered drinks from the bar to save the long wait.
Will not be returning. Much better restaurants Westcliff end.

Great food quality very reasonable pricing.
Staff are great, attentive and friendly.
Had a meal here for my 50th birthday and really enjoyed it.

We travel down from Buckinghamshire at least twice a year just to visit the restaurant ! And take in the wonderful view,and of course the food ?

Came to Ocean Beach and we were welcomed by a very friendly young man who found us a great table overlooking the sea in the shade. We were very impressed with the staff and the food was delicious. Sadly we don?t live in Southend but if we did we would be here every week. Thank you for making our evening special xxx

The food was delicious but the waiting time and service was frustrating. I spent more than £60 for 3 starters and 3 drinks and it took 65 min waiting time to have them on the table and 10 min to eat.

Seaside restaurant with ocean views and amazing food. What a vibe. Came here by chance as the original restaurant we wanted to go to down the road was shut for a private event, and what an amazing turn of events! People were eyeing our choice of food (and who wouldn't?) because it all tasted as amazing as it looked! Great portions for price. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. 1000% recommend and would return.
