What can I say except EXCELLENT customer service and care! We had a nightmare with other agents and along came Martin & Co who sold our property at half the price other agents were charging but with twice the service! Seriously do not hesitate in listing your property with them - you won't regret it!Special thanks to Charlotte Crane who was there every step of the way, who gave up her spare time to see the sale our old property and purchase of our new property through to completion. This can be one of the most stressful processes, but she continuously reassured us and was always available no matter what question/concern we had.Also Gayner who handled the viewings and initial sale was absolutely fantastic in negotiating the best price for our property and was excellent at getting viewings booked and acquiring feedback - this made the sale really smooth and stress free.Thank you Martin & Co... We believe we've found our forever home - but if we did ever decide to move again, YOU will be selling our property without hesitation!Would 1 Million % recommend ???

I have been trying for several weeks to speak to someone regarding a property that has been listed for months. I went to their office this morning to find it closed. I called while outside and was told that they are open (closed sign on the door and all lights off) and that somebody will be phoning me back immediately - nobody has contacted me. I am in a desperate situation to find somewhere else to live or me and my child will be on the streets

Avoid. From minute 1 of our tenancy to the very end, the service provided was less than poor. No one even cares either. I dealt with 3-4 members of staff who were all as bad as each other.

I have had Martin & Co as my letting agent close to 25 years now. As a long term tenant I can honestly say they have been brilliant. My main dealings over the years has been with Rose, Gaynor and Laura. All three are a credit to the agency. All correspondence, mainly by email or telephone has been dealt with quickly and professionally. I have always been greeted with a smile when coming face to face with the team. When the property I rent is due for inspection I am notified beforehand, so if I need to change the date due to work commitments, they accommodate the best they can. On all inspections they have shown the utmost respect to my late, disabled mother, who use to reside with me until a few weeks ago. Over the years my landlord changed agents. I was not happy with the new agent and so I contacted Martin & Co. They went out of their way to find me suitable accommodation in the area I requested. That was 15 years ago and I have absolutely no regrets. I would highly recommend Martin & Co to anybody who is looking for a professional, and caring agent.

Thank you so much Martin & Co for supporting me purchasing my house. Charlotte was absolutely amazing in following up with solicitors, ensuring everything was moving along as it should be. I really appreciated her following up when there was delayed communication and keeping me informed. She was always available when I emailed or called her. I mostly appreciated her being there for me throughout and her kindness.

Renters - avoid at all costs. Martin and Co tried to scam me out of my deposit. They claimed the carpet was new at the start of my tenancy and a number of other false accusations in order to try and keep half of my deposit. Luckily I had plenty of evidence and was able to wait the 3 months it took the DPS to decide it was unfair, and I am finally in the process of getting my money back. In addition, the agency use poor contractors, leaving issues unresolved for long periods, and let themselves into the property unannounced. If you find yourselves unlucky enough to be renting one of their properties, make sure you take plenty of photos and save all evidence upon leaving as they WILL try and con you out of money.EDIT In response to your reply. I DID try and contact your office to resolve, every day for 2 weeks. It drove me mad.

An absolutely fantastic company, with great people that have a can do attitude, quite rare today. Everyone is polite, professional and courteous. All in all I would recommend Martin & Co in Southend-on-Sea, their manager Reece is brilliant, Rhiannon and Ruby are conscientious and diligent and Laura is great when it comes to property management. I would put Martin & Co on the top of my list fpor all things property in Southend-on-Sea

The worst people I?ve ever had to deal with. Absolutely useless, avoid at all costs. Everything with my sell went wrong and all could have been avoided if people could do their jobs properly.
