The girls in the shop were very professional very polite and I?m glad I changed from Specksavers to boots at Southend. Absolutely fantastic and I would recommend them to anybody and I will be going back to get my glasses. Very assisted lovely

Boots opticians Southend on sea proves very awkward to get an appointment and have to wait weeks to get my new glasses sorted out. I wasted £460, and now I?ve got to go to another opticians and spend that sort of money again. Best to avoid boots opticians, if you need a timely serviced for your glasses.

Always go to boots my eye check my daughter and myself always very friendly the staff the shop is very clean very efficient the staff and I must admit I was sent last notice to see an optician which was very friendly and helpful when I had an eye infection

I rang and booked an appointment on Monday 19th February with Southend Branch as I explained I had a flashing light in my right eye. They booked me in for 22nd of February at 10am to carry out an examination. When I arrived for the appointment they said I had been booked in for a contact lens check. On the screen it had all the information of why I had made the appointment which was because I had a flashing in my right eye. They said the wrong appointment had been made. Why I don?t know because I gave all the information regarding the problem and it was on the system confirming what I had said. The contact lens practitioner came and spoke to me and said she couldn?t do the exam. They said they would see if the optician could fit me in but he couldn?t. One of the staff rang the Rayleigh branch but they had nobody available. I was then told they would call me if they had a cancellation. I was advised to try Specsavers and if no luck call 111. I visited Specsavers across the road . They were fully but took my number and said they?d ring me if they have a cancellation. I then rang all the local opticians but no luck. I then tried ringing the Ipswich and Lowestoft branches of Boots opticians but no answers from either branch the phone just kept ringing. Then in the afternoon Specsavers called me and said they have a cancellation for Friday the 23rd at 12.15 and would see me and examine my eye. Today is the 23rd and I still haven?t had a call back from Boots. Specsavers have been very good in helping me even though I am a Boots customer. Will I get a reply from Boots regarding this extremely poor situation or is this just another box ticking exercise?
