Absolutely disgraceful treatment at B&M Bargains Southend Airport. My twin brother and I were accused of stealing ? something we would never do. We were treated like criminals instead of paying customers, and it was humiliating. As Catholics, honesty and integrity are central to our lives, and being falsely accused in this way was deeply insulting. Staff should learn the difference between real shoplifters and innocent customers. We won?t be returning.

Worst store in sothend for waiting times. Make sure to spare half hour at the singke tills. Employ more people its not hard why put all them tills in to sit empty.

Usual fayre & plenty of stock. Knew what we wanted and found it. Only marked down by one star because quite a few shelves were unprecedented at the tome of our visit, but I'm certain this would have been sorted due to the amount of customers asking for prices.

Manager is always tidying and happily greeting customers first thing. Staff very helpful. Only lost 1 star as popular items are often out of stock.

Visited this new store on Saturday 29 March. Purchased a few items one being a decking brush which unfortunately after paying for the item I left at the end of the checkout after I packed my other items. This was at 19:30 and only realised my mistake after returning home, and unable to return to store that same day as store would have been closed. Returned to the store the next morning to speak with the manager to explain what happened. Firstly the manager didn?t even look at me as it appeared I was a huge inconvenience to him. I had my receipt which he didn?t even ask for and his response was ?it wasn?t handed in and not my problem if people arnt honest?. Wow! What customer service. At best I would have been happy to receive the item I purchased but realised that was unlikely. But at worse hoping for some customer service 1. At least look at my receipt. 2. Ask if I knew which till I?d been served at and state they could check if cashiers remembered. 3. Ask if for details so they could contact me in the event the item was recovered. But NO. I was made to feel like the dishonest one. Noted I asked if they could check the CCTV which would show that I left the item. Response to that request was ?don?t have access to CCTV?. Would that response be the same had I attempted to steal from the store, I wonder?
Now I acknowledge this is my mistake but all I?m asking was for a bit of customer care. Clearly too much in this managers case.
Would I visit there again. Probably not. First impressions count.

Like many, I love B&M, but this store consistently underwhelms. Messy, badly merchandised, dark and just... tatty ?
Considering the store adjoins a Home Bargains, it needs to up it's game. HB is clean, tidy, bright, fully stocked. When the prices are much the same, it's easier to choose HB over this B&M.

Easy to get to and park
