Family group meal, some items were unavailable, including gluten-free items which limited choice for a couple of people in the group. Other than that, it was a good evening.
Parking: You must log your vehicle if you want free parking on the pad inside the pub.

Excellent service food out of this world and plenty of it. Very sharp on there allagies and do point out in case you miss it. Staff friendly helpful nothing to much trouble for them thank you very much for making our day worried free and enjoyable xx

Booked online, on arrival found out a limited menu due to supply issues, handed a VERY POOR PRINTED limited menu, was going to walk out.
Staff are friendly and food was very nice, waiting time wasn?t that long. Managed to serve all the food in good time.
Seat cover could do with a deep clean, very dirty with drink stains.
Lots of parking available.

Booked a table online hoping to enjoy their christmas set menu. all menus available online. Arrive and handed a poorly printed paper menu they were serving due to ?supply issues.? This is understandable but there was nothing on their website and they didn?t even have prices on the menu they were serving! We walked out past the man who seated us and he didn?t even ask if we were okay!

Don?t waste your time going !
Food was absolutely disgusting , limited menu because of an issue with their warehouse so they had gone to a local cash and carry and Tesco over the road .
No ciabatta to go with the festive pate , it was Tesco basic brown bread , not what is stated on the menu so all the allergens would have been incorrect and at the time of ordering we wasn?t made aware of the difference in what we would of expected / what we were given. Three had the same burgers but one was half the size of the others and the buns were dry, stale and anaemic.
Really disappointing, if you can?t fulfil the menu and have to go and get items which are ?similar? from the supermarket instead maybe you should not open ! You?re also risking someone having a reaction to an allergen because of the lack of communication of difference in ingredients in the dishes . You discounted the bill but then still have a cheek to charge us nearly £80 after owning up it was cheap food brought from Tesco . Our meals on their own probably paid for the restaurants food costs for whole sittings this evening as it was such poor quality food .

I?ve just been to the Strawberry Fields Beefeater at Southend for Christmas dinner with family and friends. This experience was awful. So many dishes were unavailable that we ended up having the most unfestive dinner ever. No turkey. No chicken. No roast potatoes or pigs in blankets. Most of us ordered steak. There was no mustard or any other sauce apart from ketchup and mayo. Pudding - no custard. This was farcical but there was no explanation about the lack of half the menu. There were signs on the door but we had booked and received no warning until we arrived. This was a complete ripoff! The bill arrived before we had even finished our meal. We were told the restaurant was closing early because they had no food. Appalling treatment and appalling service. I can see why so many Beefeaters are closing down. I hope this is one of them.
