Visited Shaw Farm just ahead of its closure for a make over! We simply love this pub; the staff are always welcoming and friendly. We sat up by the fire on a particularly cold evening and enjoyed a chat with Jo about the upcoming face lift the pub is getting. We look forward to seeing the finished product soon!

Came with a large party of family for a boxing day lunch. The food was lovely, the staff were friendly and really helpful, and we did not feel remotely rushed... would most definitely do again ... thanks again ..

A lovely Xmas family meal! Excellent food in a super cosy atmosphere. Service was brilliant and they even accommodated my fussy 10 year old. Looking forward to going again in the new year.

Had a lovely time here for my works Xmas meal. Got there at 5 and table was ready for us. Pre drinks went down nicely before the starters. Main was a really decent portion but I had to save room for desert! Not everyone ordered desert and they definitely had food envy. Chocolate pud was lovely! Didn't wait too long between courses and didn't feel rushed either despite it being really busy. Even ended up staying for the quiz. Think we came last, blame the booze. Thanks Jo and the team for a fantastic night, will be booking again next year!!

Really saddened to how poor our Christmas works meal was. Over an hour to get our drinks, another 30 mins for 1st course then cold food which was returned and waited an extra 15 minutes after all other meals came to the table. The desserts were extremely poor sized portions which were actually billed to the table next to us and lucky they noticed. Having a service charge automatically added to the bill literally added insult to injury. For the festive period where a deposit was paid by everyone in the restaurant so they knew the amount of covers that evening should not have resulted in such poor service!!

The food, service and staff never disappoint, we have been here on several occasions and had very good meals. This time was the Festive Menu which was great and lots of choices.

It?s proper pub grub! During the week they have a great menu and on Sundays is a selection of roasts and a mixture of different dishes if you and your family/friends don?t want a heavy meal! The food keeps getting and better each time we come!

Wow! We booked last minute as we were in the area and we do not live local. It didn?t let us down, the food and service was amazing! We will defiantly return when we are back in the area again. Highly recommend!
