Came to do a food shop, the shelves seemed to be empty in a lot of areas. There was staff restocking but you wouldn't expect it to be that empty when you need to do a week shop. Not a lot of fruit and bread shelves were also most gone. I have used this store a few times for self service and never seen it this empty.
Only good thing was this beautiful sky.

Charlie on customer service today 6.8.25 was so helpful and sorted the query I had so well what a lovely girl and an asset to your store.
Also till staff today so pleasant and personable
Maybe Sainsbury could follow your lead!!

After suffering an upsetting and humiliating experience an hour ago I have a word of warning for disabled visitors to this store. DO NOT go there if the store is busy because if you ask for assistance you will be told that they can only help if they are not busy. I am fighting cancer at the moment and have to walk with a stick; there were no trollies available so I had to use a basket. I managed to get as far as the self check out but became dizzy and weak. I hate having to ask for help but I had no choice. A staff member called Sharon and the female security manager both said they were too busy because the school children from the local school were at lunch. A million thanks to the lovely young lady that helped me to security, they did give me a trolley in the end and I somehow got to my car unaided. Don't worry ASDA, I won't be a burden again, I'll shop elsewhere.

Got wrongly fined £60 for overnight parking when the cut off time was 6pm

Used to be very good but these days levels of stocking are really poor. Today for example at 1 pm, no chicken fillets( other than minis and not the first occurrence of this) No own brand seeded or granary bread ( same situation last Saturday) Wine shelves half empty.
It's as though someone forgot to order stuff.
So regrettably I shall have to return to tesco who do keep shelves stocked otherwise every trip has to be repeated
Tried them again today, similar issues. Either they have a rubbish manager or suppliers not supplying due to poor payment etc. Come on asda get a grip
Tues 24 sept- virtually no fresh fish or meat on the shelves. Suggests to me they have a totally incompetent fresh foods manager. Its Tuesday afternoon not Sunday afternoon so get a grip on stocking the shelves
13 Feb 2025. Very little in the exceptional range of steaks today ( Thursday) not much fresh fish either.
Was planning a special meal for partner on valentines day but guess it won't be exceptional! Come on asda get your act together. No wonder that of all the supermarket groups you performed worst over the Christmas period
Also only ONE manned checkout at 2.15pm despite 3or4 staff keeping an eye on the self service tills. The management of this store is atrocious!

Be careful about the time you leave your car in the car park at Asda, Woodham Ferrers. I assumed that parking in their car park in the evening to use their shop / cafe wouldn't be an issue.
I did my shop and bumped into a friend and went for a long chat and a few cups of coffee, not realising I was on the clock in the car park with Horizon parking. Therefore giving me a parking fine of £60 which I can ill afford around Christmas time.
I find it hard to believe that a big company like Asda would source out the car park to another company ( Horizon parking) . So, in conclusion, I won't be returning to Asda in the future.

Home delivery is absolutely useless! Placed an order for delivery between 7:30-8:30. Got to 9:30 and no one had turned up (no email, phone call or message either). Called them, spoke to a representative who confirmed driver was running late (truck had a break down apparently, which is always the same lie as it?s not the first time this has happened) and would deliver by 10:30. No apology. Got to 11:15, still no delivery. I called again, they?re closed. Worst customer service I?ve ever encountered. No idea when my shop is supposed to arrive, have been charged for the shopping and have no supplies. Will never order again.

Much improved. Their friit and veg is much better now. Prices are always keen compared to the other big supermarkets but the South Woodham store has always had a monopoly in the town.
Staff are always friendly and helpful however. We use this store mainly for essentials. We shop elswhere at Sainsbury which is also in the town.

I visited Asda as I am new to the area. Parking was a bit difficult. The carpark was full. To my surprise the store didn?t seem that busy compared to the carpark. The shelves are a decent space apart. The store has a black, grey and green colour scheme. Everything is well signposted and it?s easy to navigate. The store is not huge. Bigger than a regular supermarket but not superstore size. It has a wide selection of goods. I managed to get everything that was on my list and more, I didn?t see a cafe but the store does have a McDonalds. There are lots of self service checkouts. At the time I was there they had four regular checkouts open. The person on the checkout was very friendly and quick. All in all I had a good experience and will go back

It is my local shop. Go quite a bit for our big shop. However the shelves are not always stacked and they seem to run out of a lot of things. Have been going for years ad it's local to me
