“We frequently visit this charity shop over others in town due to the clear layout (we love the colour zones!), inviting window displays, great selection of children’s wear and toys, and the excellent customer service. We are always greeted with a smile and a friendly welcome, staff are hugely helpful and this is why we will continue to both donate and shop in this store!”

“It's great to see the Oxfam Bookshop open during this period.Hand sanitizer and limited numbers make it a reasonable shop, it would help if some shoppers were less impatient and would wait rather than standing right beside by you to look at the same area, tend to price on the high side , but still managed to find a book and 3 CDs .A good variety of books ,music and dvds”

“It's a lovely shop with lovely volunteers. Just don't think of working for the comapany. I have a new slogan for them: The British Heart Foundation, Charity with no heart. Now I know what your thinking.Hmmm this person is just a bitter ex-employee. But this is not the case at all. I have never worked for them. However a friend of mine did. She was in the unfortunate position of needing time to take care of her child. When she asked for a couple of days she was told that she could not. And if she did she would be given a warning. Now I can understand if she had done this on other occaisions and was pushing her luck, but this was the first time. In the end she had to leave because there was no other person to look after her child for the couple of days she needed and the BHF did not care enough as an employer. Shame on them.”

“Fantastic shop. Very well run by dedicated volunteers who are always ready to help and very kind. Great choice of clothes and all sort of things for leisure time or the home. It is worth to look in the glass door cabinet where there is always some cool and interesting jewellery and sometime even design items! Everything is sold at a very good and fair price and obviously, for a great cause too!”

“A great charity shop. Good prices, a very good variety of clothes, books, etc., very friendly and kind volunteers. It becomes very busy on Market days, it pays to get there early.”

“This Oxfam charity shop is a favourite of mine due to their uniqueness in branching out into ecological products. They now stock the range of ecover products and have a variety of fair-trade foodstuffs and other items. The shop has a really nice vibe and a very positive attitude to making a difference in the world. The clothing selection is not as good as some of the other charity stores, but it more than makes up for it in ethnic ornaments and other bits and pieces. I particularly like their range of journals and diaries, from many different countries and with amazing photos and images. This shop is very effective displaying their passion for their cause.”
