Sells mostly higher end outdoor and country clothing and gear, such as Barbour jackets, Meindl boots, Patagonia gear, Le Chameau wellies, etc....Has a good selection and the staff were very helpful. If the items here are within your budget, I would recommend buying from an independent store such as Jacks.

Dreadful service. I first went to the branch in Dunmow as I'd seen some boots in their window I wanted. They didn't have my size as they come in 3 widths. The next day I went to Saffron Walden and they didn't have them either but said they'd order them in and it would take 2 - 3 weeks. I assumed I'd at least get a call but nothing. This was at the end of November 23 and wanted them for Christmas. Still nothing. No call and we're now at January 9th. I would not bother using them again even though I try to use local businesses. I could have had them overnight if I'd gone to an online outlet. And they wonder why they are losing business. Never fails to amaze me how stupid they are.

No help offered, and ignored by the rude shop assistant who was old enough to know better. No offer to get my size ordered or any kind of advice... Won't go in this shop again.

Great. Just great. I visited on Saturday and bought Saturday and bought a pair of walking boots, a pair of wellies and a jumper. all in stock. Sid was really helpful and bought everything out quickly. As a man who really hates shopping this was an absolute joy!

Terrible customer service. If there were another outdoor shoe retailer locally I would have left. We were ignored for ages while the assistant did paperwork at the desk. When I asked to try a pair of shoes the assistant actually rolled her eyes - you can?t hide that behind a mask!

I have purchased different items from this shop, over the years and I have found that they always stock good quality items and have a very good choice of clothes and hats, etc.. The staff I have spoken to every time I went in have always been helpful and polite. I will use them again.
