I visited this store for the first time today as I wanted to see how it compared to the new Lidl store. Unfortunately the store seemed untidy and the staff seemed stressed! I definitely preferred the promotional section in lidl and the bakery is a big draw too. Decision made I think

New, spacious shop with wide choice of fresh and frozen food, garden plants and staple household items.

I had a very disappointing experience at Aldi in Saffron Walden. Fridge items were left abandoned in trolleys and not dealt with the entire 45 minutes I was in the store. This is concerning given the importance of keeping chilled items at the right temperature.
On top of that, there was only one queue open, with 5?6 people waiting in line. The lack of staff managing the tills was frustrating. Surely more tills could be opened to prevent such long waits? It?s also frustrating when people who have just arrived can jump into newly opened tills while others have been waiting ages.
Overall, it was a poorly managed experience. I won?t be in a rush to return.
Ended up leaving my trolley abandoned as frustration took over.

Had a very poor experience today (2/1). There was only 1 till open and at least 4 customers with trolleys queuing. I?m disabled and decided to ask the assistant on the self service check out to see if it was possible to open up another till to serve. He did ask his colleagues on his headset but then proceeded to ignore me! So I decided to queue again this time there were 3 customers I front of me and at least another 3 behind me! 5 minutes later another till was opened? I already feel invisible when I go shopping and I?m so glad your staff made me feel at ease - NOT
