A very nice place for a spot of lunch on our visit to Rochford from London. Food was tasty and the service friendly and helpful. We will definitely go back next time we are visiting.

We are using this excellent bakery/café more and more now.
It is very well run. The staff are well trained and extremely helpful and friendly.
The food is always perfectly cooked and the prices are reasonable.
Now a word about the bread and cakes.
They are so good that words fail me.
Such a shame I am borderline diabetic ?.
They are frequented by lots of local regular customers who seem to enjoy the food, service and friendly atmosphere.

Been in this cafe before with my friend our day off from nursing.Like before I sat down at table my friend went to order as I looked up one of the staff shouted over to me have I ordered I pointed to my colleague at the counter saying she is ordering now.She said to me I can't sit on the table because other people who had ordered were first.it wasn't crowded so I got up.Two other people were making there way to another little table in the corner.I said how can we order if we have no table and will one become vacant ? Another lovely member of staff who was taking our order said go and sit there and we pointed out we has just been told not to sit there by the other member of staff.she looked bemused and at that moment the other very angry looking woman (staff) who had shouted out to me looked like she was possessed started saying and rasing her voice with really horrible attitude.I was very angry Im not going to be spoken to like that.I didn't argue and said right then!!!! quite loudly and walked out.My friend was still standing there in Disbelief.Still listening to her Rant.What happend to customer service.The table remained empty.

My wife and I visited at midday. The staff were very helpful. The menu is a very traditional choice of things you'd want to eat, at prices that made me think I'd gone back to the year 2000! I ordered sausage, egg and chips which was two thick butcher's sausages, a perfectly fried egg and lovely thin chips.They are a traditional bakery and the range of bread and cakes was excellent. Highly recommended.
