Brilliant pub / hotel
Good quality warm, cleaned everyday rooms, tea coffee suger milk all brew materials provided.
Towels replaced bed made,
There's even a shoe tray for those mucky boots.
Some great plants and flowers surround the room doors.
I would certainly recommend it to anyone, but obv, you cannot please everyone.
Overall a good 4.5 / 5,
for a hotel pub, I'd say the best in Haverhill.
Hats off ? to the landlord Robin and barstaff who are always very polite and considerate ?

Visited 18th Sept and enjoyed a perfectly cooked meal.
It was beautifully presented and delicious.
The service we received was excellent.
A very comfortable, friendly atmosphere with a lovely blend of traditional and modern decor.
We will definitely visit again.

Stayed here bank holiday weekend.
What a find! Excellent spacious room with a really nice shower. Food was well presented and cooked perfectly The restaurant was nicely laid out and tables not too close together.The service was friendly and attentive.
Breakfast was just right, again, perfectly cooked.
Every member of staff we came in to contact with, just improved our visit. Already planning a return stay.

Walked across from Birdbrook for a drink with our dog and ended up staying for a light meal. Had the whitebait and scampi and chips and finished over with the awesome biscoffee cheesecake. Good value and good service.

I had food poisoning from eating Stilton and broccoli quiche I have been ill for 3 days
The food was well served and the restaurant was lovely and clean I just feel like the quiche was left out in the heat on the night the staff were very friendly and helpful

Food & drinks: We arrived late and had dinner. It included the best chips I have ever tasted. Chips are ruined for me now as they can never taste as good as these. They were crispy, but fluffy on the inside. Perfect.

We had a lovely light/basketmeal which meant we had enough room for desert. Service, good price very reasonable. Good honest pub grub hard to find nowday. Thankyou a d well done.

Fantastic little place. Proper country pub, with good food and really good beers. Everyone is welcoming and friendly and really helpful.The rooms stable yard style chaletes and round the back, when it's peaceful and quiet. They're spacious, warm and cozy and as well equipped as you could reasonably expect. Serviced daily and if you're staying during the week, at least, they're an absolute bargain.
