Been in to my local Halfords at Rayleigh a few times recently for bike service, parts and a new bike.
I must say the staff have been excellent in knowledge and helpfulness.
Definitely recommend and will use again.

Great service when buying a sat nav. Staff member was very friendly and helpful. When it came to price matching from the internet she did a quick check to verify and then matched. It?s also a great store just to walk around and browse but could be a bit dangerous for the wallet as there is a lot of great stuff.

Absolutely disgraceful service from Halfords. I booked a tyre fitting appointment and showed up as scheduled, only to be told they didn?t have the tyres. No call, no warning?just a complete waste of my time. Fine, mistakes happen. But then it happened again on my second visit. Still no tyres, still no courtesy call, and still no care whatsoever from the staff.
When I questioned them, they acted like this was totally normal. No apology, no accountability, and certainly no offer of compensation or even a basic discount for the time they wasted. Just a ?whatever, come back later? attitude.
It took three trips to finally get my tyres fitted, and even then, their complete lack of customer service left a bad taste. If you enjoy being messed around, ignored, and treated like your time is worthless, by all means, go to Halfords. Otherwise, take your money elsewhere?this place is an absolute joke.

Purchased a new rear Number plate after showing ID and told the guy I would fit myself. Once paid for the plate I realised it didnt come with holes drilled and paid the store another £9 for them to drill and fit it. Having waited 10 minutes for the "fitter" to fit the plate after 10 minutes went back into the store to find he was serving another customer? To be fair it was busy but in the end having waited an age fitted it myself. Not impressed Halfords!

I went to Halfords at Rayleigh as they have a wide range of dash cams and I?d had my husbands fitted there.
On my first visit to choose one for myself the service was poor and I was kept waiting over 10 minutes to get help.
On my second visit the service was much better and my dash-cam was fitted well and swiftly.

If could leave a zero I would, my car under warranty was towed by RAC to Halfords autocenter Rayleigh, after Rac couldn't fix , Halfords Southend apparently not able to fix, so had to be towed to Specialist autocenter ( Rayleigh ) who have had the car a week and half , only to be told they can't fix it and to collect the car , unbelievable shambles do not bother with this outfit , clearly out of their depth and if that specialist autocenter then that's scary

Ordered 2 items online for next day collection. On the following day they started message and and call me. Once it was ready, once not. I had to cancel my order, because it wasn't ready and coz of many fake information. Moreover they did not send me the refund, and I needed to cantact my bank to get back my money. It took almost 1 month! during the Christmas period.

Disorganised chaos! Ordered a battery and fit online. Queued for 10 mins to be told to go to the back of the store to collect, queued for another 5 to be told that I need to collect at the front. Queued for another 10 minutes to find out they had supplied the wrong battery, so waited another 10 minutes for the correct one to materialise. It didn?t, so I left to store empty handed. That?s the last time I shop at Halfords

Hi I been in today to have a new dash cam fitted fir my wife which I bought her from the Rayleigh store to replace the old one that was fitter some years ago also fitted by you.
It cost £189 in total ,£80 fitting which is not a small amount .i was a bit annoyed not with the guy doing it but the company as he said if i want the old cables removed from last time because the new one has different cables,it cost another £ 55 which I find ridiculous and too expensive as the new cables have to be put in the same place as the old ones so can?t be hard taking the old ones out at the same time.

When picking up a bike for my grandson the staff were very good as was the staff when I ordered the bike, however Halfords as a company should review staff availability when opening at 8am! As there were only 2 staff on with 6+ customers requiring assistance, not only is this for customers I would assume it's frustrating for staff too!
