Yesterday I had a very scary experience with my eyes. I spoke to Marc who explained what I needed to do. He was patient, calm and stayed with me until I could grasp the instructions, he even signed into the website at his end and talked me through it. It may seem like a small thing but it made all the difference, thank you

Organised my contact lense check with my eye check so I didn?t have to have two trips. Staff then spent ages with me helping me select new glasses as it?s been years since my last pair and face shape has changed. Loved their honesty and recognised that I didn?t have a huge amount of money to spend. I was treated as an individual which was amazing.

I rang Friday morning concerned about a sudden blurring in my right eye. Did an over the phone triage with Boots optician (Rayleigh) staff and waited for a call back. Got that call back within 30 mins and saw the optician (Sat) later that day. Was recommended to have the Optomap scan and glad that I did.
It showed up a tear in the retina which was classified as a medical emergency. I was referred immediately to Southend hospital and had corrective laser treatment 24 hours later. Cannot recommend Boots opticians highly enough. Thank you to all the friendly staff for helping me in my hour of need and even checking in with me via text to ensure I had been contacted by the hospital.

They ignored the concerns we had about our daughter?s vision. They told us she didn?t need glasses. We took her to get a second opinion elsewhere and her prescription was quite high. When calling them for some information the new opticians needed, the lady on the phone was rude and refused to give it to us. After only using boots for my child and husband in the past, I didn?t realise how lovely an experience it could be. I won?t be bringing her to boots again. My husband is going elsewhere too. I don?t understand how they could expect to get an accurate prescription for a five year old when we were in and out in five minutes. Also wasn?t happy when she implied my daughter was lying during the eye test.

Excellent customer service with pleasant and helpful staff. The whole process was explained and my examination went really well. Store was neat and tidy. High recommend Boots Opticians at Rayleigh.

I?ve had 2 recent visits, first one was to get 2 nose pieces replaced after they fell off at 6 months old, the second was to pick up another pair of driving glasses. I made the decision to get a second pair following the apologetic and helpful attitude of Tanya. She repaired my glasses and then took the time to see that they were adjusted to fit and be worn correctly. She also helped me select the second pair of driving glasses that I could keep in the house to watch TV with. The pick up was straightforward, no adjustment needed and I left a happy customer?
