Just got some of my daughters birthday presants but at 7.30 was rushed when had half hour still but then at 7.45 I heard the bald man say on he's head set I'm gonna start screaming at people to get out in a minute but shouted it down hes head set how rude didn't think I heard him but still had 15 minutes till the store closed yes its close to closing but you hurry people at 5 mins too sorry you had to get finished! I work in retail and I've never done that to customers so the rayliegh store technically closes at 7.45 not 8pm just saying change the time!!

Be aware, they won't do refunds on faulty items, or make it very difficult. People wonder why Amazon dominate everything! Staff in store are good, company policies are not.

Fine for range but terrible customer service if anything goes wrong. Better off with Amazon.

Why bother having a phone number if its just going to ring and get ignored till I get auto cut off on loop.
January 2025 by Launa Hicks
What is the point of having a phone number if you don't answer the call!!! been ringing for hours on end today its been ringing until it rings off I appreciate you might be busy but there must be at least one member of staff that can answer the phone when it's non stop ringing all day brought a lego set £79.99 only for my son to open it on his bday to find its got 2 bags missing and one bag of dinosaurs in a clear plastic bag ?? Now going to have to find someone to drive me to your store all because u can't be bothered to pick your phone up!!! So frustrating some ppl order online and have it delivered because they can't come to the store maybe you should remember that a ringing phone is a customer too not just walked ins

A friends daughter wanted to pay with her own pocket money but was told they don't accept change!!! Since when..... disgraceful attitude, your not too big to be shut down for treating your customers, of whatever age, with disrespect. Avoid this place, shop small local shops.

We went into the Benfleet store looking for a child?s car seat. Byrony came to our assistance and was extremely professional, courteous and knowledgeable. She patiently explained and demonstrated a number of options and consequently we made our choice with confidenceThank you Byrony

Be carful with the prices shown on the shelves specially promotions normally original price at the till when I confronted them they said someone must have moved them but there were still few of the items under the promotion price left on the shelves. They left me waiting at the till playing around and pretending to be busy but soon as I moved to one till they all jumped on the till for two people behind me they work in the environment that people from all corners of the world go to buy toys for their children but yet they still carry their stupid prejudices with them to work?

We went into Smyths at the Rayleigh Weir today to look for a toy for our grandaughter for Christmas, which unfortunately wasn't in stock. I stopped a lady called Ellie who had a deputy manager badge on. She looked to see which store had them and took the time to.help us order it on my husbands phone for click and collect. She went above and beyond on a busy afternoon with a smile and a chat which made our shopping experience so much easier. Thank you Ellie! ?

Rude Manager "Aled". I went to the Rayleigh Weir store to eventually be assisted by the rudest staff member I've ever met. I simply asked him for a particular car seat. He asked if I needed advice on how to fit it? I politely declined and explained it would not be going into my car, it was for my 2 year old Grandson and would be going into his Dad's car. I explained my son in law knew how to fit it and that's where the issues begun! Staff member said "just because he's fitted others, it doesn't mean he knows how to fit this particular one, they're all different". Again, I declined advice, I was on a work break and in a hurry and had already waited ages for someone to get me the car seat from the store room as it was. But, it wasn't to be, he then wanted to know my grandsons weight which I didn't know. As I didn't know he said the seat may not be suitable. I explained it was a "123" series so suitable for up to a 12 year old child, but he continued to refuse to get me the car seat without me knowing my Grandsons weight! I said how can a 2 year old weigh more than a 12 year old? He still continued to argue over this. I asked to speak to a manager to complain that this staff member was refusing to get me the car seat just because he was insisting my 2 year old grandson may weigh more than a 12 year old. He then told me he was the manager! I finally got the car seat and sent a complaint to head office and will not be returning So, if visiting this store, avoid "Aled" the so called manager with zero customer service skills!Date of experience: 07 December 2023EditDelete?
