I was invited to a family meal in celebration of a birthday. Myself and wife have visited and eaten many times before here, but were extremely impressed with the food on this occasion.

Rooms: Comfortable spacious rooms with good amenities. Tea, coffee in room, toiletries in the bathroom, spare pillows in the wardrobe, in room information pack.Food & drinks: Breakfast was good but staff could be better and ensure food available until the end of breakfast not failing to restock just because it's getting close to ending. Tables should be covered as there are tea stains. No toast provided or offered with cooked breakfast which I would expect. Waitress didn't listen properly and provided the wrong hot drink that needed to be changed.

I've DJ'd many times at this amazing venue, in each of the rooms. Had a meal in the Sartoria Cafe. First impressions not great. Apart from 1 other couple we were the only customers. We stood at bar for 10 minutes waiting for the only staff to finish making two coffees... no discussion about how long we would wait. We had pretty much decided to go somewhere else when we were finally served. Food was good though. Decore was very nice just the arm chairs need a little tlc to cover the wear and tear and dirt on the arms.

Fantastic hotel staff very friendly . Food is fantastic will definitely be staying here again. Hotel has free WiFi and makes you feel comfortable. Went to a party at the hotel and that was a lovely experience. It was laid out lovely And the pizza buffet was so good . I would definitely stay there again .

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful surrounding.Easy to get to from the A127 and then 50 mph average speed camera till the hotel which is on a sharp turn off this road.Ample onsite parking, enjoyed performing at the banqueting Hall with convenient access to bringing in musical instruments and sound system.

I really wouldn?t recommend. We arrived and we?d switched our phones off because we couldn?t wanted a proper break. In order to check in we had to scan a QR code - I explained to the receptionist that we had switched our phones off but she blatantly ignored me and asked me to crack on prolonging the process when she could have just checked me in. An elderly guest checked in right after and there was no mention of this.Room - wallpaper scraped off the walls carpet was dirty and drapes old and tired. Not good value for money at all.Booked for the spa, unable to book any treatments. Visited anyway and asked for robes for coming out and were told no treatment no robe. They also had no towels. Still charged us £20 to use the pool. Changing room toilet dirty.Cafe on site is lovely! Really nice foodDinner - large hen party - couldn?t hear ourselves. Food generally really good and our waiter was just lovely. Steak asked for medium well came over cooked. Asked for medium to well told the waiter he took it back - waited 20 minutes it returned the same. Raised this with reception later and was told - basically tough - chef says he took a picture of it. Really rude.Don?t get breakfast. Not value for money - basically paid £30 for two omelettes and juice. Was charged extra for coffee. Breakfast is one item each, no buffet or options. Not worth it.Generally overcharged and massively under delivered wish we had booked elsewhere.

If you want the authentic alien abduction experience, Orsett Hall is the place for you. With safety lights that glow green in the middle of the night with the ferocity of the ?independence day? movie mother ship you will truly get the Hollywood experience and be able to relate to Jeff Goldblum and Will Smith.Located directly above the bed in room 30, staff insist these micro suns are necessary. In contradiction to the hundreds of other hotels I frequent.A unique experience not to be missed.Side effects may include: lack of sleep, irritability and sunburn. Please pack a minimum of factor 30 to wear whilst you slumber.Noteworthy details: Alien theming

The spa / dinner/ bed&breakfast package was great value. The food is surprisingly sophisticated- tasty and plentiful.I had my spa treatment with Chantelle - she is pregnancy trained and I felt in really good hands. She wore a mask to prevent passing on the end of her cold, and the massage itself was fantastic. Thank you Chantelle!

My partner travelled 4 hours to this place for business for a two night stay. Only to find an emergency green light in the room which totally ruined her sleep. Whilst we know these lights are for safety reasons the world has moved on since the 1920's. Absolutely no regard for those who have travelled miles and their safety while at work the next day due to being shattered.Avoid.

I wouldn?t recommend this hotel.It?s beautiful to look and pictures shown look outstanding.My room was not actually in orsett hall itself and I was given a room that looks like a loft conversion with half the room at an angle and cut off. So for tall people you have to bend when you are moving around. This was not ideal. I did not sleep each night of my stay I the bed was extremely uncomfortable and I woke with severe back and neck pain each morning due to the bed being so uncomfortable. The room is also above a restaurant and spa so in order to get breakfast in the morning that was included you would have to walk outside to the main building (not ideal if it is raining like it was). It also stated I would have views and the only view I had was looking up the sky with the sky light from the loft conversion window. They also take £100 reserve out of my account instead of £50 as stated.My spa treatments got cancelled the day before arrival by the therapist due to a personal matter. I?m still without my refund of a lot of money 12 days on when I got told it will be back with me in 7 days!! I?ve contacted them numerous of times and still nothing has been done or no communication has been made by the spa or hotel. Like I stated before i would not recommend. Very overpriced for what you get and the service you receive.

Can't fault the hotel or restaurant and facilities. But I stayed on the 14th of January and still haven't received my £50 deposit! I've called numerous of times to be told they're going to get accounts to contact me back which they haven't done!

Went to an antique Fair lovely Place lots of Parking nice cafe. Lovely Hall as far as we could see it was great.Food & drinks: Went in to the Cafe had cake and tea very busy . But nice place.
