My husband has been twice with his friends so my daughter and I thought we would try it. I ordered French fries and got sweet potato, took a while to change. The veg was grilled and black the cabbage was inedible. I had crumble for pud the topping was very powdery and made me cough. I was disappointed because I liked the pub and its ambience, I would consider trying it again.

We booked a 10 person 60th birthday meal as we had heard good things. The waitresses were very good, helpful but the meals took ages to arrive; 40 mins. My skate could not be served with chips (eh?) so it arrived with soggy roast potatoes. The batter was mush the fish was grey and watery. I could not eat it, as I am am accustomed to Toffs of Muswell Hill. The batter should have been light and crisp whilst the fish would pure white and fall off the cartilage. Other meals were of sub par standard. Middle and wing of skate sizes were tiny, grey and watery, Yorkshire puds looked like Aunt Bessie's, It cost £230. Cutlery looked dirty. Awful experience for our group except my 5 year old grandson who enjoyed the custard.

Went to grab some lunch after playing golf at Toot Hill. The staff let us order drinks and get comfortable and when we went to order food we were told they were not serving food to ?walk ups?. Brilliant, thanks.

I took my mum and sister here for Sunday dinner last Sunday. A ee had our dog we booked a table in the front courtyard which is lovely.
3 of had a roast, either lamb or beef and all were really good . My mum had salmon which was also lovely she said. Desserts were excellent as well.
Staff were fantastic, friendly and attentive, without being intrusive.
Can't wait to go back next time I visit my mum

Tried this place at short notice for a roast dinner and was very impressed.
The pub was beautiful inside and had a very friendly feeling, the food was amazing with very generous portions and the service was exceptional.
Will definitely be returning.

We had a wonderful dining experience here. The atmosphere and the friendliness of the staff and other customers was very much appreciated.
You have to try the Green Man burger as this is huge but the flavour was good.
The fish and chips were also good. Overall a recommended place to visit and a nice fine dining experience in a pub setting.

Attended as a last minute idea and glad that I did. I had the 3 course offer and found my food very nice. My wife also ordered a 3 course meal. She found the mushroom soup a watery and she had to go fetch her own spoon! I tasted the soup and it was a little too salty. Steak and ale pie ordered by the both of us and thoroughly enjoyed it. Crême broulée was nice as was the apple and mixed fruit crumble. The custard was clearly bought in but nice. For reasons known only to the staff, both of my forks were removed prior to my main course being delivered. Food was prompt and hot. Staff were nice. Venue was clean. Some of the music being played had inappropriate wording/subjects. Ample parking at the rear.

Very friendly staff, a good affordable sandwich menu and reasonably priced drinks. Very clean inside. Nice beer garden out front. Definitely worth a stop.
