Always had a great meal here, whether as a couple or in a large group. Various group sizes can be accommodated including in a secluded 'private' room.
Restaurant is clean and bright with happy attentive staff. Good menu ranging from pizzas to more 'complicated' Italian fare all served promptly.
Sunday roasts provided and the full menu available for take-away.

My partner and I were staying nearby at Mulberry House hotel and needed somewhere to eat. This restaurant came up on Google and was quite close so we reserved a table for 7.30pm. We found it virtually impossible to get a taxi. We drove instead and there is a car park at the back. We had the restaurant to ourselves. Waiter was friendly and attentive. The food was amazing, big portions and nice and hot. We had the baked cheesecake for dessert but was a bit rubbery. The prices were good for Italian restaurant, not overpriced like some. We will probably visit again when we are in the area and would recommend to friends and family

I got here with my family just by chance, and what a pleasant meal we had. The staff is very friendly and professional, with excellent customer service. The food was tasty and well presented,and it didn't take long between courses. The dessert was to die for, really nice. The best tiramisù I ever had. We are planning to return soon. We highly recommend this restaurant.

I was recommended by a friend of mine, but unfortunately I wasn't lucky at all. If I am going to expend that much money, at least I expect the food to be good.
My starter was prawn cocktail salad, which was really hot, so much sauce and no flavour. Ans you charge me £9.95 I eat it but was scared to get straight away sick as I look like I've been out all day waiting for someone to order.
My main was Pollo Al limone. Breast chichen with white wine, lemon ans capers sauce. Sorry, but first my chicken was slices of chicken. 3 thinner slices (no a breast), second was rubber so hard to eat. The sauce wasn't white wine and lemon and capers sauce. You guys put 3 caper one on top of each slice?????? 1 slice of lemon and gravy plain no favour sauce!!!! What is going on vegetable over cook 2 pieces of brocoli over cook a few hard carrots. And for that you charge me £19.95 come on? My partner order "Grilled lamb scuttles I rosemary sauce and wine juice.. the scuttles was not grilled at all was normal pan fried. Second the sauce was exsactly like mine because we try both sauces... the same vegetables over and under cook. Ans the lamb was rubber again he could not eat it. He cut all in pieces because he was thinking may be could be one area. But no all the same.
And you charge me £75 something I can't remember I was so angry. I leave only £80 I couldn't think to pay more extra for services .
Oh ans to complement the table next to us order 3 different think. Ha ha all come exsactly with the same sauce and same vegetables like a production order all the same only change the meat.
Come on guys you really need to have personal review and discuss with your chefs or call "Gordon Ramsay TV show" to help you with the restaurant and the food.

We had a takeaway and it was delicious. Arrived in good time, piping hot and very, very tasty.Absolutely delighted that Ongar doesn?t have an awful chain pizzeria but has this excellent delivery option. Will be regular customers

Very cosy and clean restaurant with a very nice, attentive owner and good quality food and service, lots of choice on the menu and helpful regarding gluten free diet. Highly recommend the seared scallops, fresh, delicious and perfectly cooked.Dietary restrictions: Speak to the owner before ordering, he is very helpful and accommodating
