Absolutely brilliant ! Food was amazing and staff were so nice and friendly! .. I was able to sit in a corner and crochet to my hearts content with no one judging or interrupting me ! If im ever in the area again id happy revisit... come on guys give this place a go its so quaint and cosy!

Called in after a long drive having been at a funeral elsewhere. Had a wonderful greeting from Kirsty who was bright and bubbly throughout our meal. Ham, egg and chips were delicious as was the catch of the day. Small plates were ample for us, although Mum was tempted by the orange and sultana bread and butter pudding which was awesome! Will definitely be back in the future.

Stopped to ask a question and stayed almost 2 hours. Food + ale + great staff made it hard to leave.

My partner and I normally walk to the Rose and Crown but a couple of weeks ago we drove to the Pub having picked her up from the station. We found a parking space and had a couple of drinks in the garden and left. This morning we have received a Penalty Notice for £100 what we thought was a Pub car park. Not impressed

Ordered a sandwich and our plates arrived with chips , coleslaw and trimmings. First class service in minutes. A full meal on a plate. Washed down with an excellent glass of proper temperature Bitter.

We all had a fantastic Sunday Lunch for 6 adults and a toddler.. Food was faultless ? one of our family is Vegan and she said her nut roast meal was absolutely, without doubt, the best she?s ever eaten!!!
The roast lamb was soooo tender and delicious. Two others had chicken meals which they were really pleased with.
The staff are so lovely. Really engaged with us. They were so helpful and just lovely.
Most definitely the best Sunday Lunch out in a very long time.

This is our favourite pub so welcoming and friendly and makes such a fuss of our little cockatoo.
Bless you all tonight was horrendous for you so many people and so many orders. We came to eat but could see you were completely overwhelmed. What a night it must?ve been for you.
