Very good customer service experience - particularly because of Mark and Zack, they helped us find a lot of different things we were looking for throughout the store and helped us out with countertops for our campervan. They definitely went out of their way to help us and were lovely staff members.

Visited Wickes Maldon on Saturday 16th August to buy 21 bags if compost and a bag of Bark. Got a great deal and one of the shop floor guys, namely Mark, was an absolute gem, not only did he sort the till out so I didn't have to take all bags in to store, he helped me load all 22 bags onto my pickup. Total star and first class service from Mark. Tyank you Mark and Wickes.

Ridiculous policy and zero common sense.
I wanted 1/4 tonne of compost from the front of the store where my van was parked. Took a single bag to the till to be scanned expecting to pay for total order and then load van up. Cashier says no, and demanded I loaded the entire 1/4 tonne on to trolleys, wheel in to the store, and then wheel it back out again.
Needless to say I walked out and went to the local garden centre instead where the staff were more than happy to take my order and help load the van up.
Have some common sense Wickes, I'm one of your regular trade customers and this really angered me.

Very disappointing ,
Terrible customer service and substandard quality.
the workmen were not the greatest and thankfully we had our ringdoorbell which recorded their unprofessional behaviour on our property including breaking into our porch key store to demonstrate that they aren?t safe .
The work was shoddy and after a year was leaking damaging the ceiling below .
Contacted Wickes as it was under warranty , several weeks later and lots of emails from us for them to say grout isn?t covered in the two year warranty .
Please never use Wickes unless you want the trouble we had .

Quite easy to get to and a reasonable amount of parking. Been here with my brother in his van (self employed builder) and on my own by car. Friendly and competent staff, a good mix of DIY products, and reasonable prices. Seems more geared to the trade as, whilst my brother got a trade discount, I did not when visiting on my own.

Ordering 10 x 100-litre bags of wood bark from Wickes DIY felt like a breeze ? just like prepping a first-class cabin before a long-haul flight! The online ordering process was seamless, and the delivery service was spot-on. Within 48 hours, the bark arrived, with tracking updates as reliable as checking the seatbelt sign!
The real highlight was the delivery chap ? an absolute gem, polite and chatty, much like the perfect cabin crew member on a long flight who knows how to make the journey pleasant. He wouldn?t let me lift a finger, not because I?m ex-first class crew and used to first-rate service, but because he didn?t want me to get my clothes dirty ? how thoughtful! Those bags were as soaked as a rainy day in London, but he single-handedly unloaded them into my carport.
It felt like I was being treated to a bit of VIP ground service right at my door! If only every DIY delivery could come with such care and charm. Overall, top marks to Wickes for both efficiency and for staffing their delivery team with such lovely people.
