Shop clean and fresh, good offers. I do get annoyed as everyone I shop here I am asked to set up direct debits for charities at the door. I constantly get ' are you an animal lover?', or 'do you want to help Alzheimer's?'. It is making me shop elsewhere as I don't feel this is appropriate.

my original review was for 4 stars but things have steadily declined at this store since.
It used to be my main shop supermarket, however though I do still visit regularly, it is now only for smaller shops or specific items. I don't think I have ever visited this store in the last 3-4 years and not found myself interested in buying a product that has no price label anywhere to be seen. Usually I will come across at least 3 or 4 such items per visit - Very frustrating!
For the last couple of years the fresh meat section always looks like a major catastrophe is in progress and panic buying has ensued, half empty shelves and the state of the freezers is dreadful - expect to be stepping in puddles on the floor.
It was the quality of the Meat and Fish offering that stood Morrisons apart from other supermarkets in the area (particularly Tesco) however that situation has switched dramatically and in the last year, I have on 3 occasions been forced to return Meat or Fish because once removed from the packaging, it was rancid.
To be fair, the customer service is good, and all 3 products were refunded without question but I would much prefer to be confident that 'fresh food' is just that.

This has to be one THE worse supermarket in this area!
Time and time again I stupidly go there for minted lamb (they advertise it online and instore) and they either have no Ribs in fridge or at the so called butchers counter.
Went there yesterday to find butcher section shut (10.30am) as they actually had Ribs in the fridge (well, 3 packets!) As I wanted them minted. After a 10 min wait was told by a employee that no butchers in today and she is there to cover them. So I asked for them minted to which I got a reply of she hasn't got access to store room where the mint is kept. I said have you any in stock and when will butchers be back..she replied yes plenty in stock and be back tomorrow..
So I lut Ribs back and went today..
2 packets left on shelf (I needed 6!) And low and behold no mint in store room..
This is not the first time it's happened.. it's been the 8th!
Why oh why can they not just order the stuff when it's low! Jeez, it doesn't take a brain scientist does it?
Meat has also got very dear in there too compared to other supermarkets, so if you wanted meat, pop over to meatline in Maldon..which I shall be doing each time now..
Morrisons, you have lost a customer!
