Have visited the pub on a number of occasions, the staff are always so friendly, the atmosphere is great. Ate for the first time in a while, all the food was delicious. We all had steak frites, the meat was cooked impeccibly and the chips were perfectly crispy (especially good dipped in peppercorn sauce..). The sticky toffee pudding was also delicious, as was the whisky picked out by the manager. Everything about the experience at the black horse is faultless, will definitely be back, many more times. Highly recommend!!

We stayed overnight at The Black Horse to be closer to a wedding party nearby, and I?m so glad we did. From the moment we arrived, James, Josh, and the whole team were so welcoming, friendly, and a great laugh. My sister and I rolled in later than planned (fashionably late, of course), but the pub was still open, and Josh kindly showed us to our room, making sure we knew where everything was.
Our room had lovely thoughtful touches, bottled water by the bedside, and on a heatwave day, that fan was an absolute lifesaver. The only teeny downside was the lack of a mirror in the room, which would have made getting ready for the wedding easier, but we made it work (sisters are great at improvising!).
We slept brilliantly, and the morning was just as warm and friendly as the evening before. Sadly, we didn?t get to say goodbye in person, so I?ll do it here instead, thank you to everyone at The Black Horse for the laughs, banter, and genuine hospitality.
And James, a huge congratulations again on your promotion! You?re going to make a fantastic manager. Hopefully, we?ll get the chance to visit again soon with our puppy in tow too.

With great pleasure, we stayed at the Black Horse. A wonderful place to completely relax and enjoy the surroundings. We received a great welcome and were met by more than friendly staff. The pub has a garden where you can sit comfortably, and it?s also dog-friendly. It?s a lovely spot where many local people come together, making it a true meeting place. We also enjoyed a delicious meal. Many thanks again to the lovely people of the Black Horse. In short, highly recommended!

As our local it?s a real asset to the area to have such a fantastic country pub serving excellent food with staff that make you feel welcome every time. A proper country pub our dogs are also accommodated for in the large bar and garden. Ticks all the boxes for us ??

The Black Horse (Brent Pelham) gave us a warm and welcoming space for our family after a funeral service. Craig and his team were absolutely wonderful, provided amazing buffet for all our family and friends. What a lovely country pub with five star service, thank you so much!

Beautiful lunch; incredible service.
All the food was delicious. Everyone made sure we were very well looked after. And it's a lovely place to sit and eat. I really couldn't recommend it enough for a family lunch.

Had a lovely stay here. Stunning grounds and scenery. Fabulous fully stocked bar. Very pleasant staff with vast knowledge of local history. Spotlessly clean rooms. Ideal location to re-charge. Will be back.

We had the most amazing roast dinner in The Black Horse (I was please that there were several veggie options)! Outstanding service and a wonderful friendly atmosphere. It is our second visit to this pub and we will definitely be back soon!

A lovely friendly country pub, manages to keep a traditional feel but offer a lovely modern menu with a few pub classics as
well as some nice vegetarian options. Highly recommend!
