What a shame. This is the newsagent/book shop/stationer that I grew up with.
Nowadays they close at random times during the day. I had thought they were understaffed but now I think they might just do it to stop school kids going in in the afternoon.

I have Been to this store a number of times.Whilst it has a decent selection of books and it is well stocked generally. The staff can barely communicate or smile at customers. I suggest WHS Smith rethinks it's recruitment policy!
