There are two types of valve in a bicycle inner tube, Schrader and Presta. The Jabberwock behind the counter simply fails to appreciate this. Go to Halfords instead.

I've had great experiences with going in. The owner is always willing to aid in finding the right product and assisting with anything I need support with. I took my old bike in last week which had been stored in the garage for 15 years untouched. Trish sorted it out in less than 24 hours, provided a helmet and a pair of gloves too. Very happy and pleased with the service I received.

I cannot believe how rude the lady was , I got a puncture whist out cycling , walked there as it was the nearest place , she said she could repair the puncture if I left it there till Wednesday ! It was Saturday ! I said oh u can?t fix it today ? There was no one else in the shop ! ? no ! Anything else ?? To which I promptly left and went to cycles up up the road which were so much more helpful!

It's the only place I'll go to for a new pair of road shoes. Ms Browning is top notch when it comes to shoes and very helpful too. Popped in today on the off chance that there might have been a bargain in my size and cycled home happily with a new pair knocked down to half price. Years ago this was a fantastic shop if you were into racing bikes. Popped in recently and found the woman in the shop to be disinterested and not very knowledgeable. Certainly not the shop it once was.

Popped in on the off chance today and purchased shoes and a new helmet. The owner was very helpful in helping me get the right shoe size for me - (that's the important factor) and also in fitting me for a helmet. Now both products were from brands unfamiliar to me, but I had trust in the owner that the products were chosen for a good reason, not because they were the better known brands. I share the same philosophy in my own store - "the posh" running shop (I wish).I had previously bought shoes by Bont & Spec but both had only been worn once as they were so uncomfortable - but I'd been told this was right by the 2 specialist stores I'd bought from - nonsense. Today I was helped by someone who cared, was not pressurised to buy, allowed to try, allowed to contemplate, I had not come out with money, so when I came back the owner suggested I try on again to ensure things were right.I hope very much I look after my customers in the same way as you looked after me today - thank you.
