Enjoyed a well cooked and served gammon fried egg and skin-on chips here on a Wednesday night. Service was very polite and friendly. Restaurant was mostly empty. Decor was good and clean, good choice of beers, lagers and ciders on tap.Quality of food was high and reasonably priced.Will be going again.

I visited The Angel recently for the first time with some work colleagues and all of our meals were superb. Nice and freshly made and the best chips I’ve had in a long time. The cookie dough dessert is pretty sizeable so save some room if you’re going for that!

Being a Sunday, we struggled to find somewhere to eat as everywhere needed bookings. This place was our 3rd attempt & what a lovely surprise & so glad we went.The food was delicious & our service was exceptional. We had starters & 2x Roast dinners, the best we've had anywhere by far.The young lad serving us was so attentive...
