We chose the Star Inn at Ingatstone as a central meeting place for scattered family members for a Sunday roast. It was quite busy but that?s a good sign. The roast beef was lovely, what a good choice and the Chocolate Delice was delicious. Service was very good especially as they were busy and there was 9 of us. The atmosphere was good and customers were enjoying themselves. A great choice as none of us had ever heard of the Star Inn or had ever been to Ingatestone.

Went for a festive family meal before Christmas. Good food and friendly service. Nice roasts. Cheesecake was delicious.

Had the Christmas menu yesterday, the food was delicious and great value, the service headed by Jemel was first class and the whole bar and restaurant looks lovely with all the Christmas decorations. Highly recommend.

First time at this lovely Inn. Freezing cold day, so roaring fire and lovely surroundings immediately made us feel welcome. They even made a special effort to change our table to one nearer the fire - much appreciated.
Food delicious, house wine most enjoyable,
prices very reasonable.
Would definitely visit again.

Lovely food, had the specials. Usually need to book. Not suitable for wheelchair users. There's street parking up to 2 Hours parking. Service was good.

Amazing Sunday roast dinner ? best I've had for a long time!....partner had the smoked haddock with mash and white wine sauce which was excellent too....will definitely be back over the festive period.......thank you so much for the great service

The first time in The Star Inn & it will definitely will not be our last,
I was only to have the Sunday Roast & dessert, then the waitress told us about the specials, well that put the spanner in the works, I had the most amazing liver & bacon on a Caesar salad with nuts, OMG!!!! beautiful, then came the most beautiful Sunday roast, crispy Yorkshire pudding, roasted potatoes had a crisp to them as well, & the beef just melted, & of course I had to have a dessert, even that was amazing,
So 5/5 for everything, service, food & price,
