Attended 'A Christmas Carol' acted, sung and played by talented actors. There was car parking in a field, sufficient lights to find the way to the entrance and then a very welcome glass of wine or cup of coffee for purchase when you arrived. The seating for the play was down a few stairs but the atmosphere of the play in the old surroundings was a brilliant fit.Only suggestion for improvement was for blue badge holders to be allowed to park nearer entrance. My husband is one such person and had difficulty walking the long way to the entrance from the car park and then also negotiating the few steps without a banister on both sides.

Such a beautiful place. I was lucky enough to attend a wedding here. Such a beautiful place full of history, well worth a visit.

Beautiful house and gardens. Great to look around with knowledgeable guides who are happy to chat. The best thing for me is that it isn't hugely busy and wandering around, you can get a feel of what it must be like to live there. People who work and rent a property in its grounds are truly blessed. The village as a whole is unspoilt with a sense of community spirit, very rare these days !

I was fortunate to be invited to a wedding at this venue recently. What a fantastic venue. Beautiful setting, with a lake and large outdoor spaces.

What a hidden secret! It's crazy to think this incredible Hall is tucked away just down the road from us. The tree lined entrance is so lovely, and then you come through this archway and see the huge hall ahead of you. There are some beautiful features in the house - I particularly loved the arched doorways and throne chairs! We were able to meet the owner who was very welcoming. I'm looking forward to going back there for a Wedding shoot!

Really beautiful country home and grounds. Well worth a visit. We had a pram.and could get to most of the house. Also has parking, toilets and food and drink available. Might be easier to take cash to pay for entrance as the internet was a bit iffy on the tap machine

Wish this awesome place could be open to the public on more days...so informative with very knowledgeable curators. Had a great tour guide with tantalising tales of eclectic tales that inspired my grandsons to research the Tudor peroid! Well maintained Beautiful house ...restaurant was a bit expensive for quality offered.

A very pleasant detour from Suffolk coast to London. Wanted a stop and this place seemed to fit the bill. We rolled up right on 12 noon and a tour was due in 20 mins, so we took it. Very enjoyable, indeed. The family has an interesting history and the house has enough quirks to keep just about anybody interested.

A beautiful location. With history that dates back to the 16th century. Received a warm welcome from all the staff. Would recommend a visit there.

We booked a tour, this was disappointing, a basic junior school history lesson which lasted far to long. The house contained family items of little real interest. The gardens however are very enjoyable and peaceful, the gardens in my opinion are the greatest asset. All the history can be found online, the gardens are worth experiencing.
