The only reason it is liw for atmosphere is because it was an hour or so before closing and quiet. Staff extremely helpful and pleasant. Catered for my milk allergy very well.Dietary restrictions: If you are vegan, gluten free or dairy free, there are many savoury and sweet options plus plant milks. There is a chalkboard behind the ciunter listing vegan sweet treats and ice cream and sandwiches with vegan cheese. It should be on display. One helpful waitress showed me it.

Very busy. Given a table after small wait. Waitress continuously rude, didn't smile. We were a couple and kept looking at the tale of four they had given us. Felt rushed. Didn't ask if food was okay. Did not feel welcome. Food good but will not return.

Having a (very obedient) dog we were forced to sit outside in windy and freezing conditions. The tables were all covered with large amounts of bird poo which we found distasteful. Birds constantly pestered us for food. Another customer advised us that the 2 nearby pubs take dogs inside and we will undoubtedly use these in future, as regular dog walkers at Heybridge basin. The state of the tables was disgusting. No attempt was made during the time we were there to clean any of them. Very very disappointing for a Wilkins outlet.
