I visited here on Tuesday after not having a good experience at another charity shop locally
The staff and volunteers here are amazing and friendly
I would also like to thank Jason for helping me from my car with donations
And thanks to the other members of the team that helped me reaching stuff in the shop
Will definitely be back

Popped into the Harwich store near B&M, I understand that all charities need money but one t-shirt from Primark was dearer than a new one. Everything was very expensive, no chance of anyone being able to renew their wardrobe in there. If I donate to charity it won't be to Barnardos. Charge less and turn over more!

Shocked that having sorted a piled high supermarket trolley of A1 condition books and clothes to donate today, they were REFUSED ! Having borrowed a trolley from nearby supermarket we wheeled it to the rear of the store only to have the young manageress tell us they do not take donations after 3pm due to ?Health & safety reasons? ?! WHAT COULD THESE BE WE WONDER?.. We could see through open door their huge sorting room at the back wasn?t full by any stretch, we said, just wheel the trolley out the back until tomorrow, we have gone to so much trouble, but NO, she wouldn?t take it, she said that there was a paper sign at the store entrance saying donation between 10am - 3pm,,,, THIS IS NOT ON YOUR WEBSITE, which we checked before filling our car with donations and driving the 10 miles round trip??.. We are flabbergasted at the blasé attitude of this manager, you should be WELCOMING donations. We had to unload everything back into the car. We then drove to St Helena?s Hospice Charity Shop in Harwich who were VERY HELPFUL , FRIENDLY AND DELIGHTED to accept great quality donations. Your loss Barnardo?s Harwich, it is just very sad that your ridiculous made up rule is / will affect donations and therefore funds raised for children, without donations you wouldn?t have a charity shop and you; lady manager, you wouldn?t have your job, maybe think about that.

Simon is a very lovely man working in Barnados, just a shame the other staff aren't very friendly and are quite rude, disappointing for a charity shop
