Room
- Bath tap broken so had to almost cut my finger to get hot water.
- They have replaced the plugs next to the bed with usb hubs that are slow so if you use your phone while charging your phone complains that there is an issue and one of them wasn't even working.
- The chair for the desk was broken.
- There is no air con, only a heater
- The TV remote has been replaced by something I would expect at a prison, with very limited functionality and our TV wouldn't go below volume 10, which was too loud to have some music on to help our baby sleep.
Service
- The staff were friendly, and the car park was big enough to always have a space for us and parking is free as long as your staying at the hotel and register at the desk.
Location
- Right next to the Train station, which was brilliant for us to travel into London.

Stayed there 7th to 10th September. Today I received a parking fine£100.from Parking eye. I registered my car at the Travelodge and at the Toby carvery next door. It goes without saying I won't be going back. Beware when parking.

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in a family room, and honestly, it was a horrible experience. The bathroom was absolutely filthy ? the tub, taps, and plugs were disgustingly dirty. The carpet was covered in stains, the kettle was grimy, and even the hand soap was completely finished.
I complained to the manager and asked for the room to be cleaned, and they said they would sort it. When we came back later, nothing had been done ? not even the hand soap was refilled!
I have a 10-month-old baby who crawls and walks, and I didn?t even want him to touch the floor because of how dirty it was. This is completely unacceptable for a hotel, especially one catering to families. Would never stay here again!

Our family was kicked out the hotel following this review by the MANAGER. We did nothing wrong but write a review. So I guess my point was proven, touched a nerve and got kicked out. I hope she doesn't live what we are going through right now hence we are in a hotel. Never met a manager that takes things to heart, it's a review love. No change of wage for your cry baby actions today. Your a grown adult, move on.
First room was awful, the bathroom smelt of urine, reception area smells of urine. Carpets not been hoovered for God knows how long. Cockroaches. Bathtub had dirt rings around it. Place was disgusting, we got moved to a better room, more clean.
Constantly, the room cards kept deactivating. I've noticed other guests have the same issue. All reception says, dont put cards next to phones and credit/bank cards, which we did't but still occured.
Reception area closes regularly, if the cards have deactivated then your stuck waiting on them to return. Some staff tend to stand outside smoking.
Constantly people revving their cars all night. Can't sleep.
Beds are rock hard
The manager, well what can I say. She needs a chill pill, maybe because the family is of mixed race and not white. God knows, but the attitude isn't needed.
Hope karma catches up with the manager, made a family homeless for a review.
STAY CLEAR

PROS:
Good location to get around.
CONS:
The bathroom needed more cleaning.
Kettle was really bad with lots of scales.
Too much noise if you?re offered rooms close to the Road side. Not good especially with kids.

This is the sign at the parking slots just outside the hotel. Here is states ?3 hour permit?. Since I stayed for 24 hours both times I payed for full time here. Later a hotel clark told me that they cover the full day parking if I input my plate number inside. So which one is it?

The rooms are nice like any travelodge would be. The service is nice and the people working at the front desk are very kind and understanding. It felt nice being able to say good morning to the people every day we were there. I enjoyed my stay at the travelodge. The beds were relatively comfortable. There is nothing crazy about the location but it is nice if you?re stopping by on a trip, etc. There is a Toby?s carvery next door for quick food access!
I would recommend: I had no issues!!

We stayed here for a number of consecutive nights. We got a family room with a queen bed and a converted sofa bed.
Let's start with the bad. First off, I don't know how a hotel can possibly say that the sofa bed we got is suitable. It was nearly like sleeping on wood, and our young daughter slept pretty badly on it on the first night. We ended up asking for an extra duvet to put underneath the bed sheet, which just about helped, but even Travelodge should have better standards than that.
Cleaning wise, if you get fussy with stains in the bathroom around the bath plug, bath handle and elsewhere, this ain't the place for you. We have a decent tolerance and didn't care that much. The cleaners don't come into your room during the day to spruce up your room or make up your bed, which makes the Do Not Disturb door handle sign a bit pointless. You can leave a separate card on your door handle by 11am to request new towels, but that's about it.
The rooms don't have air conditioning. Luckily there wasn't a heatwave going on, but I can imagine that must be pretty bad. There was a fan in the room for us which we still needed. We also needed the windows open overnight, but the room was on the ground floor next to the car park, used for a Toby Carvery and some smaller businesses. It meant we had a fair bit of noise come in, and didn't feel all that safe either.
There's no hotel breakfast here, so your options are a fairly pricey cafe nearby, the all-you-can-eat buffet at Toby Carvery, or forcing yourself to go into town to get some supplies and make do.
That's the bad done, so now the alright stuff. Parking ended up being fine, despite being limited to 8-ish spaces and needing to fill out my car reg on a tablet each day. Harlow Town train station is over the road, so really convenient (but expensive) to get directly to London, and some decent road connections. The price came to an average of £68 per night, which (I think) is good. The main bed was decent.
In sum, avoid the twin family room. Otherwise if you're not visiting during a heatwave and not too fussy about cleanliness, you'll be fine.

Rooms definitely need refreshing along with adding in AC like other newer travlelodges have.
Ok to rest your head for the night and move on but that's about it.
Location was good as right by harlow train station.

Well situated for our needs. Close to Hertfordshire zoo. Slight problem with a soap dispenser in the bathroom, stuck open and leaking all over the floor! Sorted.

It's right next to the train station, which is good for those who use the train. Parking spaces are just about okay, there were a couple available when I arrived at about 6 pm on a Tuesday evening.
When I came into reception, the lady on the desk said the least amount of words possible. Inasmuch as when asking if I drove, she just said 'Driving?' and when I said 'Yes', she just turned the screen towards me to put my car registration in, no instructions, or even a please. Once I'd put my details in, I was waiting for her to say something, to which she didn't and it was only when I was stood there for a good 10 seconds, all I got was an 'All done', which was clearly designed to dismiss me. Just felt abrupt and like she didn't want to be there.
The last Travelodge I stayed in was boiling hot, but this one was lovely and cool because the windows had been open - just makes the whole experience nicer.
