Waiting 2 hours for a bay to tip 6 pallets.
Appalling goods in coordination as lorrys that came in after was getting bay before I did. Lorrys that came in after me got a bay and tipped before I even got a bay. Arrived bang on half hour before my booking time so no excuse really. Just very poor organisation. Will avoid this place in future for sure.

Reason for why i?m giving one star is because that?s as low as i can go.
This has been absolutely the most disastrous period of employment in my entire life. To anybody that values themselves and their mental health i would not recommend working here. First of all the management is absolutely ridiculous, there?s zero communication or support from, one member of the management will tell you A, and the other will contradict the previous one telling you B, they?re lazy and have zero leadership qualities everything is a chore to them, most of the time i would address any sort of issue it would be taken hardly and as if i?m being done a favour. The warehouse is full of animals that shouldn?t be there in the first place, there?s rats, mice, pigeons and even crows, bear in mind poundland mostly deals with consumable items and the fact that the hygiene is so incredibly low is mind blowing, if i was to list the amount of times i encountered dead rats behind pallets or bird poop being on FOOD i would ran out of time. Issues addressed to managers would be met with an ?i will look into it? but after a while i realised they would only say that so that they would be left alone. This warehouse demands your heart and soul their goal is to squeeze you to the last drop however when it comes to getting paid for your work that day won?t be seen. I found it unbelievable how often my pay was either undercut or wasn?t there at all, HR is either not in or unable to help with anything it?s as if they?re not present at all, they do not care whether you have children, bills or sick member of family to take care of. It is incredibly common to hear about other employees missing money or hours from their paycheck. Health and safety barely exists, you would think ?if it?s not broken don?t fix it?? is their motto, pallets are decayed to the point where they break on their own, bear in mind the stock on those fragile and dangerously preserved pallets can weight between 300kg and as much as 1.3tonnes. Some pallets picked by pickers are so terribly stacked and when it gets reported to the management they tell you to wrap the pallet more in hopes product stays on it, they have no consideration for people like drivers mates that then have to deal with those pallets. It is irrefutable that if there?s a hell on earth it?s poundland RDC in harlow. Once being on break i overheard that there was an ENTIRE pallet of haribos that were out of date and instead of disposing of it they have shipped it to poland that just shows how inconsiderate and unempathetic they are.
One of the most common questions being asked by the employees is how is this place still running and hasn?t been shut down.
Avoid shopping from poundland if you value not eating bird or rat poop alongside your food, also avoid working there at all costs talking from experience, if you do differently don?t tell me i didn?t warn you.
