We do the weekly shopping at the new Lidl store as it is much bigger, wider aisles and less busy. Lidl is spending a lot of money advertising the fact they have been voted best supermarket bakery but I haven?t ever been able to pick up all what I come in for. If my shopping times were late then I would understand but my normal shopping times are after the school run or kids clubs (16:00-18:00) or early afternoon on Saturday. The products I am most unlikely to be able to pick up are from the sweet treats section which need no cooking, only defrosting. If the store is concerned about waist then I would suggest they only defrost half a tray/case. This is an easy way of upping turnover and unit sales.

Wish they would get rid of the self service tills they are more trouble then there worth just been there and somebody had to come to the self service till at least 5 times to help, bring back proper people on tills.

I don't normally go to Lidl, but a neighbour asked if I would take him there, got to be honest was quite impressed, their bakery section was top notch, it's true they don't do all the big brands, but a non bio washing tablet is a non bio washing tablet, it's also true there were only 2 manual tills open, but be honest Tesco's and Sainsbury's are going the same way, so I came away thinking differently about Lidl, and my neighbour was very pleased with the price
