Rude receptionist, very disorganized, cannot get a correct time on when work will be done, even with an appointment. Have to call and chase them as they won't call you to let you know when they've looked at your car. Really disappointing.

Absolutely the worst I?ve ever been treated at a mechanic in my life. Booked my car in to check the breaks at 11:45 (as the breaks had been a bit funny). At 2pm they?d not checked my car, I kept ringing and it took 6 calls before someone answered. At 3:30 I called again (which took 8 calls before someone answered), and they had looked at it and decided it needed new fluid and break pads (just got those replaced recently but that?s fine!). They had failed to call me to give a quote and couldn?t say why. I agreed to go forward with the services letting them know I really needed my car back by half five. They said it would be done by 5. I arrived at 5 to find my car still on the ramp, no tyres on it. I was told they were ?just finishing up.? After 20 minutes, I explained again I really needed my car back and was told by the receptionist ?we have other cars to work on, you know? quite rudely. I was not being rude in the slightest, and I do understand they have other cars to work on, which is why I booked a slot and made them aware I needed my car back.I then sat in the lobby until 5:55 minutes, where I watched the receptionist ignore phone calls and spend the majority of the time going out to talk to the mechanics, who were standing around talking about their general lives. At 5:55 (they close at 6) tyres still weren?t on my car and nobody had made any effort to finish off the work. I had to leave.The next day I called and was told that there ?was a delay? because they hadn?t checked some sort of tube that fluid went into, and they actually seems to have been the problem, not the break pads, but they didn?t know until this morning. When I called in, I did get an answer on the second ring. Manager was apologetic when picking up the vehicle, but just offered nonsense really like ?they didn?t know why it happened, no idea why you weren?t called, glad we fixed it in the end? etc. Absolutely terrible service and will not be going there again.

Had car a/c gassed. Efficient service, helpful staff, competitive priced. One minor niggle, didn't call me back to let me know it's ready. But they were busy so won't hold that against them.

Dropped car in for work early, had to chase up two-three times to get a time that it would be done - went down there and four staff seemed to just be standing around cars talking; person who had hung-up phone (eventually got through on another number) went out and spoke to them... no change. Wasted day.Next morning, different team, front desk lady was gone, team were quick, working on twice as many cars and three individuals talked to me about my car in person. Seems like very inconsistent service levels depending on who is in.

My other local garages were unable to help with what is apparently a rare tyre for my EV, but from my initial call to Kwik Fit Harlow Tony was very helpful and advised he had compatible stock, and would be able to squeeze me in without an appointment. I dropped of my car and Jackie was very professional and made everything easy and quick. 1 hour or so later I had 2 new tyres fitted. 5 out of 5 for communication, service, speed and helpfulness. Thanks to all the Kwik Fit Team at Harlow.
