“As a regular EV driver and a BP Pulse subscriber, I find the network reliable and generally easy to use. The app works well, and the stations are usually in good condition and conveniently located. I currently pay £0.49 per kWh with my subscription, which is fair in some areas, but not the most competitive compared to other networks.
For example, with my Tesla subscription, I often pay around £0.40 per kWh—and during off-peak hours, prices can drop into the £0.30 range. That’s a significant difference over time, especially for those who drive long distances frequently.
One of the biggest challenges in the UK EV charging experience is the lack of pricing consistency. Some motorway stations charge over £1 per kWh, which is not only unreasonable but also makes EV ownership less economical than driving petrol or diesel. This defeats the purpose of switching to electric for both environmental and cost-saving reasons.
In this context, we strongly believe that all charging providers across the UK should unify under a standard, transparent pricing system. It’s confusing and frustrating for EV drivers to deal with wildly different prices across different networks. A consistent pricing model—ideally supported or regulated by government—would make the experience much fairer, more predictable, and ultimately more appealing to new EV users.
If we truly want a greener, cleaner future, the private sector and the government must collaborate to remove financial and practical barriers to EV adoption. Looking across Europe, we can see that lower and more consistent EV charging rates are already a reality in many countries. The UK needs to catch up.
One final suggestion:
Please consider installing more BP Pulse charging stations in the Palmers Green area, particularly near the Bourne Hill – Green Lanes junction. It’s a busy area with growing EV usage but very limited access to public charging points. It would be a great benefit to local residents and commuters alike.”

“I feel like I should correct some of the reviews here. This is an M&S here, but it is a BP / M&S petrol station I'm not sure why people have felt the need to rate the place 1 star and state it does not exist. Anyway the place is a very well kept establishment as you'd expect of an M&S and has a well-rounded selection of groceries. The only negative is that the place gets very busy and it is never staffed well enough to cope.”

“Not the best as a small shop with a limited space although they do have quite a lot. The 20mins your allowed to stay in is a pain as if it's busy, and then you want to shop for food or get additional services such as cash machine/car wash is far too tight. Luckily this was a flying visit.”

“Typical petrol station, usual selection of food and stuff on sale at the usual rather high petrol station prices. Friendly, helpful staff. No dedicated HGV pumps. Can be a bit of a squeeze in an 18 tonner.”

“I wanted to take a moment to praise the wonderful staff at Tesco (Edinburgh Way) in Harlow. Every time I visit, I’m always greeted with warm smiles, helpful service, and a genuinely positive attitude. The staff go out of their way to assist, making the shopping experience so much more pleasant and stress-free. What really stands out is the difference compared to the Bishops Stortford store, where unfortunately the atmosphere often feels very different and makes shopping far less enjoyable. The Harlow (Edinburgh Way) team really set a great example of excellent customer service, and it's always a pleasure to shop there. A big thank you to all the staff — your efforts are very much appreciated!”

“If you, like me, find your car’s warning lights going off like bonfire night just before Junction 7 on the M11 and need to pull into a garage; then this is the place for you.”
“Timing is everything. Especially as the price of fuel is about to sky rocket once again.... within hours of the new conflict prices were going up everywhere. Its all profiteering.... thought Sainsbury's was above this... ?”
