Had a ?professional fitting? for my children?s first shoes - the man doing it was friendly but didn?t seem overly confident in what he was doing and took absolutely ages to try and then find any shoes in stock of the ones we liked which meant my children got bored of waiting and the experience became very stressful. If you?re offering ?first shoes? fittings you?d think your staff would be good with or have experience with children but he didn?t speak to them once. Upon taking the shoes home and wearing them, my children both got blisters all round the backs of their ankles on two separate occasions. I took photos and went back to the store to try and return them. Unfortunately I hadn?t kept the receipt as they?d been professionally fitted so I?d presumed I wouldn?t need the receipt anymore. I did have the proof of transaction on my card and photos of their feet however. I had the misfortune of being served by Megan the manager. She repeatedly told me I should?ve kept the receipt (I know that but we both knew I hadn?t so it made no difference to keep repeating it) and said I should?ve brought my children back because she needed to try the shoes back on my children to check the fitting hadn?t been done incorrectly. I told her I hadn?t brought them because it was so stressful last time and equally, whether they?d been fitted correctly or incorrectly, they still gave my children blisters so it didn?t matter to me what the cause was, they can?t wear them. She proceeded to make me feel like an inconvenience, sighing at me, huffing and puffing, telling me how difficult I?d made it. She didn?t once smile, she wasn?t remotely apologetic that their shoes had given them blisters, she wasn?t interested in the evidence I had. She then went on to say that I might?ve just had them wear them for a bit and want the money back as I had no proof they?d caused blisters, even though I did, I had photos she didn?t want to see. She did give me a refund in the end which I?m grateful for. I appreciated the goodwill gesture given I didn?t have a receipt. If she?d have said no refund could be issued but had been polite and friendly, I would?ve accepted that too. However, I didn?t appreciate her patronising tone and comments when speaking to me, or her body language which repeatedly told me how annoyed she was with the whole situation. I couldn?t believe that she was the manager. Customer service training needed asap!

Love Clark?s shoes but can never get the size right online. Sadly had to return. It?s costly to do that as well as pay for delivery. Shame.

Business is booming! I'd only visited to get a store bag, and I didn't have long to wait for someone to assist me.People were happy, it seemed. The music was good and up temple, and even people who weren't shopping for shoes were tempted to come in and look around.Nice atmosphere for a shoe store!

Went in today to get school shoes for my daughter who is 6, James served us he was amazing.I?ve always purchased my child?s school she?s from Clark?s and James was by far the best assistant we have ever had.

On first purchasing a pair of shoes for my autistic son, the service was great. Took his size, was patient etc, can be anyway at the price of shoes £50.We tried and my son would not wear them, school tried too but to no affect. He rather wear my wedding shoes for 2 days (size 11 instead of size 8)He is non verbal but signed us he wanted green trainers. Found some on amazon and went for a refound as Clarks don't do green shoes. Was told could not refund, as they had been worn outside ( no they hadn't), we could get an exchange but no refund.The logic is still escaping me.We will not go back and no surprise that the shop was empty each time we wentThat is the main reason shopping streets are obsolete.

Not an inexpensive shoe retailer but excellent quality shoes and boots on offer however watch out for their sales on certain styles (not on all stock) that offer generous discounts and can save you a fair amount of money. Friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended.

Looking for size 8 long boots ? so the sales offered me size 7. Tried and didn't fit. Said I could order buy before I try. Sorry waste of time

I had the best experience today with Kiara (hope I've spelt this correctly) my son is between sizes and Kiara could have rushed and found an adequate pair of shoes. However, she spent a good 20 minutes checking different shoes in three different size/widths to ensure that my son has a well fitted pair that will last. Absolutely a credit to your company. Thank you so much.
