I charged my car. The screen was in a different language & I wasn't able to change it to English. I used the app & was able to charge OK that way. This BP garage does have a disabled accessibility space in the charging zone, which really helps.

As a regular EV driver and a BP Pulse subscriber, I find the network reliable and generally easy to use. The app works well, and the stations are usually in good condition and conveniently located. I currently pay £0.49 per kWh with my subscription, which is fair in some areas, but not the most competitive compared to other networks.
For example, with my Tesla subscription, I often pay around £0.40 per kWh?and during off-peak hours, prices can drop into the £0.30 range. That?s a significant difference over time, especially for those who drive long distances frequently.
One of the biggest challenges in the UK EV charging experience is the lack of pricing consistency. Some motorway stations charge over £1 per kWh, which is not only unreasonable but also makes EV ownership less economical than driving petrol or diesel. This defeats the purpose of switching to electric for both environmental and cost-saving reasons.
In this context, we strongly believe that all charging providers across the UK should unify under a standard, transparent pricing system. It?s confusing and frustrating for EV drivers to deal with wildly different prices across different networks. A consistent pricing model?ideally supported or regulated by government?would make the experience much fairer, more predictable, and ultimately more appealing to new EV users.
If we truly want a greener, cleaner future, the private sector and the government must collaborate to remove financial and practical barriers to EV adoption. Looking across Europe, we can see that lower and more consistent EV charging rates are already a reality in many countries. The UK needs to catch up.
One final suggestion:
Please consider installing more BP Pulse charging stations in the Palmers Green area, particularly near the Bourne Hill ? Green Lanes junction. It?s a busy area with growing EV usage but very limited access to public charging points. It would be a great benefit to local residents and commuters alike.

Absolutely ridiculous!!!! This is the 3rd time this month I have been to this charging point and guess what.... Like the 2 other times it's shut down completely all 4 points!!! Can't rely on these electric vehicles seriously!!! Would advise everyone to just stick to their petrol hybrid vehicles!! Even if you have to pay a bit more... At least you won't be disappointed looking here there and everywhere for a charger!!!!!

Convenient garage and food store on one site. Great for fuelling up before getting on the M11 and also great for grabbing a bite and a coffee from M&S Simply Food. Fuel not too pricy and staff are friendly.

I stop here on the way home usually after being in Harlow, very helpful staff especially a younger gentleman working the tills, he took the time to explain their ?to good to go? process so I would get a great deal. Worth stopping here as they have some good M&S expiry date deals throughout the day. Petrol is a little more expensive than other garages, I only get fuel here in an emergency.

It's a petrol station with a marks and Spencer shop attached, they do coffee or tea, as well as some hot food items, public toilets, and a cash machine, so a very useful amenity

Stopped here to get petrol (full tank purchased) and to use the toilets. They were out of order and so being 5 months pregnant (visibly) I asked to use the staff toilets. Was told I could not. I asked again and explained that I was pregnant but staff would not assist only suggesting I ask the building site next door to use their toilets. Is this how bp treat their customers ?
