Think this was about the best store in Halstead originally but has gone downhill tge last few years.
The staff are always polite and friendly but their stock, or general lack of let's it down. There's not much choice and the prices keep on rising.

So this is a store that thinks it's appropriate to have no manned tills open during a Saturday lunchtime and, upon challenging this, you get abuse back before they open two. This is in a market town where the average age of shoppers is 102. Shout out to Efcy, a store assistant who shouldn't be allowed to talk to people in general.
This attitude towards being served and self service must change - it's making your staff lazy and inefficient.

Have been shopping here for over 12yrs, they have now installed barriers to force you to walk through the self service tills to use the only manned till, this involves squeezing past customers queuing for self service. I dread to think what would happen if the store needed evacuating quickly!
It?s obviously done to reduce staff levels and try to prevent shoplifters.
Come on Sainsburys get a grip on things,
New Tescos opening next month so if no improvement I?ll be transferring my custom there!

It was my first time I've been to this branch,and what a mistake it was, although the shop was well laid out the staff were awful and rude,as the store has mainly auto check outs I asked where the normal counter i the member reluckley grunted pointed to a cash out where I was met another assistant who was on the phone and finished her chat not a word was spoken,I left the store very disappointed not to return.
