Nice place to eat, great fish and chips and the sauce was really great. The service was great and the waiters were really friendly and welcoming. The waiter Holly was really nice with us. Recommended to come here!

We had a Friday early evening meal and drinks in The Castle and the service was FANTASTIC! I had the Hunters Chicken meal; the portion size was very generous with beautifully cooked chicken and bacon. The staff were friendly and very engaging; and our drinks were discounted for the Happy Hour !

My partner and I spontaneously popped in for Sunday lunch today. We were a little apprehensive as The Castle has changed hands several times since we moved into the village and our experiences haven?t been the best, but we saw the new menu and thought we would give it a go.
We were served by Amelia who was very polite, friendly and attentive.
And wow, what a roast ? We were pleasantly surprised and were told they had a new chef. Perfectly cooked meat, lots of roast potatoes, fresh veg, homemade Yorkshire pudding, cauliflower cheese, stuffing and lots of gravy!
A good choice of desserts too and everything was reasonably priced.
Very happy customers, will definitely be returning to our local.

Had breakfast Saturday morning but wasn't at all pleased with what was served up. I had to ask for 2 more Sausages because the ones that were served on my plate were obviously re-heated from the day before as they were so dry and hard on the outside that I could hardly cut them. Mushrooms also appeared re-heated as they were shrivelled up. It would have been nice to have received an apology. I definitely won't be going there again.

Excellent food and service, could not be faulted.
The food was delicious and very generous portions.
Becky and her staff were friendly and gave excellent service.
