Taken back over by the owner who is a lovely bloke. I popped in for a quick pint and a couple games of pool got chatting to a couple lads on the pool table time flew. It's what I would call a proper pub pub no booking a table or sorry you can't stand at the bar and drink !!!! It's nice to buy a pint stand at the bar and have a chat with whoever is there at the time ?

Made an attempt to turn up there on Friday the 29th of November and my Uber driver and
myself drove past the the snooty fox having been picked up from hadleigh and found no lights on !!! Extremely disappointed and confused how a public house would not be open on a Friday night. Uber driver even said he would drop me into Colchester town centre as a way of compensation for my troubles. 0 out of 10 cover the close to how I felt. I know the landlady and landlord and can?t believe they wouldn?t keep their business profile up to date on Facebook or on any other social media platform. Again extremely disappointed and let down. Can?t really say anymore.

Not local to where we live so stopped off on a journey home. What a great find, excellent homemade food, great service, very friendly and made us, and our dog, feel very welcome by staff and other customers. Will definately return and certainly recommend.

Just popped in for a drink whilst in the area on holiday. Lovely pub. Nice staff. Will definitely return when in the area again and perhaps have a meal next time.

First time visiting, what a great friendly place, had a brilliant rock and roll musician playing getting people up to dance. Hope I'll get the opportunity to visit again.I didn't eat, hence mid way score, but heard it is good. Thank you x

have to say food and service is spot on, does nice food and a fantastic roast. nice quiet and peaceful. atmospher is a bit to quiet for me and seem empty alot of the time but that might be of the location. but cant have it both ways, either quiet country side or busy town.

What a lovely welcoming place the staff the food the place x After a very bad experience at the Kings Head waiting 1hr and 1/2 to be served frozen food starters my family and i seeked refuge at the Snooty Fox . The staff were so welcoming they acommated us straight away. We explined it was for my birthday and they were only too happy to help A young lady Lucy was very professional and took orders got our drinks . Sorted our table to accommodate us all food brilliant tasty definitely recommend. We had a family birthday meal booked at a different venue but ended up walking out as it was so bad. We phoned the snooty fox, and they could not have been more helpful sorting a table out for all party. Lucy, the waitress, provided amazing service. The pub it self as a proper old pub charm. The food is very good. Nice portion size. Tasty and very reasonable priced. Thank you, Snooty Fox, for saving the day.
