I must say I would never come here to get anything repairs done again
I came to drop off my car for a tire change I paid for a time slot and was told I?ll have to wait 30min up to 1 hour
I?ve now waited 2 hours just to get 2 wheels changed, only to see the mechanic leave my car and just go about their business, guys pls go to the smaller local garages avoid them so your time isn?t wasted
They are the worst garage in Grays
Please ladies and gentlemen avoid Halfords auto centre in Grays Hogg lane

I completely agree with all the negative reviews about this garage.
Despite the warnings, I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and visited in person, as the Halfords website was malfunctioning and not allowing online bookings.
When I approached the staff at the desk, I noticed he was already dealing with another booking. I explained I needed to book a tyre replacement, but he told me to do it online. Obviously, if the online system had been working, I would not have come in person in the first place. I mentioned that I had tried several times, but the system kept showing an error. He then said his system was also down.
It felt like he was just making excuses to avoid taking the booking and showed no interest in helping at all.
In hindsight, I am glad he did not book it. I would not trust someone so disinterested to carry out work on my car properly.
Halfords really needs to investigate the apparent lack of motivation and customer service at this location.
I ended up going to the garage directly opposite instead. Much better experience.

worst garage you could think of. thought it's gonna be okay as i avoid private garages but it was worse. held my car for a whole day just to send me a message right before closing that appointment was cancelled while my car was there all day. also one of them driving all of the cars full speed to the garage (about 50metres) crazy people do not recommend even though to my biggest enemy

Took my car for a full service, MOT and air con gas refill. Air con only worked for a few days. I called to complain, was told I had to pay again for a check to see if gas was leaking. Took my car somewhere else, no leak and air con working as it should. Quite disappointed, don?t recommend and won?t be returning!

Popped into Halfords to have 4 new tyres fitted. Was greeted straight away on arrival,and dealt with straight away. Service was excellent, staff very polite, and my 4 new tyres all fitted professionally. Top service.

Top service. Had a blow out on the m25. Got to the garage on the off chance and the staff went above and beyond to sort me out. The car had no spare so I would have been stuck. Arranged for tyres from another store and got me going. Can thank them enough as I know this is normal for them to be able to do. Best Halfords service I?ve ever had. Just wish I didn?t live so far away as would use them all the time because of what they did this one off for me.

Very competative prices when searched and compared wuth others on intetnet.
Have used previously with same good service so would recommend Halfords.

First time I?ve used Halfords for a Mot and the experience was great. The Hogg Lane Service Centre was where I visited. The guy who did the Mot was professional and the guy in the office was professional too. I?m 100% going back.

I had a set of tires changed at Halfords Auto Center in Grays two years ago, and it's time for a new set. However, when I went to another tire center for a change, they found the box for the locking nut but noticed the key nut was missing. Since Halfords did the last tire change and had no issues, I can only assume they had the key nut at that time and simply didn?t return it to its proper place.
I went into the Halfords center to ask if there was any chance they still had the key nut. The front desk assistant told me that they had thrown away many key nuts because they didn?t have the corresponding cars anymore, which suggests I?m not the only customer this has happened to. When I spoke to the supervisor, he claimed they don?t keep key nuts and always return them. Unfortunately, he didn?t take responsibility or acknowledge the possibility of a mistake, nor did he offer any solution.
I?m extremely disappointed by the lack of professionalism and customer service, especially since I could have been stranded on the side of the road if I needed to use my spare tire. I would have expected more from a company like Halfords. This is appalling customer service. I do not recommend.

Every time I book an appointment by using an online discount code for wheel alignment, I get a similar phone call saying our machine is broken. Why they advertise a discount code if their franchise won't honour them.Never going to there and never would recommend them.
