Possibly a bad time to write a review as we had booked in for a Sunday Lunch and they told us on the phone that they had a birthday party that day and were not doing their normal roasts so we decided to go with the standard menu and when we arrived (before the party) it looked closed - hardly anybody there.
However, the staff were very friendly and there was a nice atmosphere - it's obviously a local community pub. We enjoyed our lunch and the real ale comes direct from casks and was very good. We had Captain Bob from Mighty Oak brewery.

Inside a real traditional pub, with friendly local regulars. Host Phil very welcoming, despite my arrival to stay the night in my campervan being unannounced, and guided me to good hard standing spot. I hadn't been able to speak in advance because they had a wake for one of their regulars. I was planning to book a meal, but in fact feasted on the wake buffet (by invitation of course). Very good cask bitter from local brewery. Bar comfortable. Large garden with rather decrepit out buildings, a few people were playing boule on a well laid pitch. Good WiFi. Excellent basic pub stop.

We stayed over in our campervan on Saturday night. Great pub, huge garden in the front and rear. No food in the evenings. Very friendly staff/owner. Dog friendly.

Just a brief visit on a Wednesday lunchtime en route but didn't stop to eat though the plates looked good and customers seemed to be enjoying it! Mighty Oak cask beers on tap with various bottled beers and ciders available.

First time I had visited The Swan. Couldn't fault any of it. The food was absolutely outstanding and we will definitely return. The staff went above and beyond, especially when I called as I thought I had lost a card that was sentimental to me. They searched and returned my call. Thank you so much and btw, I found it ?

Booked a table for Sunday lunch but made a mistake of leaving it late and they could only squeeze us in at 3pm because they are so busy on Sundays. We skipped the starters and went straight to the main dishes, Roast pork with all the trimmings and Beetroot and Butternut wellington also with vegetables and vegetable gravy, nicely presented and very tasty. The only disappointment was because we were one of the last sittings they had run out of the home made apple crumble so we both went for the waffles with ice cream and sauce. Well worth a visit for a very filling Sunday lunch.
Vegetarian options: My wife said she thoroughly enjoyed the Beetroot and Butternut squash wellington.
